Actually my biggest concern is the date D Z coming to M'sia and does it support 3.0
Alright, i know i'm back with the 3.0 question
but i think it is really important here. If I was those guy who aren't concern bout the future of my phone, i will definitely get Iphone. Android seems interesting to me because of their rapid improving OS. But whats the point if a near-flagship phone (desire Z) is unable to support the next update android OS? It will be just the same as iOS, no improvement at all then I might as well turn to nowadays cheap iphone4 plan. Btw, no point in discussing this things right here as there are no concrete message leak out from Google yet.
I guess 'wait' is the best answer...
1) The 3.0's (assuming Honeycomb? Gingerbread is 2.5) requirement is not even out yet, how to know what are the requirements? For all you know it might need 1.5Ghz or dual core. Its like saying, will Iphone4 support iOS 5? For all you know, Iphone4gs will come out in 1 year time and only can run iOS 5.Alright, i know i'm back with the 3.0 question
2) Apple Iphone's OS isnt the most rapid improving OS. Android is. In fact it has been improving TOO fast so Google had to slow it down.
3) Phone that are 2 years old with old hardware specs are running the latest FROYO 2.2 version, because of the extensive mod community. Safe to say any flagship device will definately get support at the very least by the mod community.
4) Iphone4 plan isn't that cheap actually, especially if you use alot of call
Checklist for iOS:
- Simple user
- Doesnt use much smartphone functions but use heavily just for calling, smsing, casual browsing, music
- Dont need features like sending file over bluetooth, true multitasking, etc
- Want to play lots of games and use many apps
- Dont mind the boring UI and the unability to customise more than rearranging your icons
Checklist for Android
- Power user
- Besides normal phone function heavy browsing, music AND videos (its a pain to convert videos to format supported by iOS, Android supports many more formats), you use your phone alot for work on the go, such as document editing, etc
- Dont mind waiting a while as the app market for Android to grow
- Want to customise your phone exactly the way you want, and play with custom roms from the mod community
- Not scared of using your phone like a computer (why all those big specs, waste it just to use as normal phone?)
