Which driver version you are using? You can try modded driver for 258.96.
The nvidia driver really buggy, got issues with punkbuster if you do play bad company 2 or cod4.
Whitelist your sc2 in nvidia control panel. There will be indicator whether ur 335 kicking in.

Actually something caught my mind, Aluminium vs Magnesium. lol
Magnesium is defo better than Aluminium in terms of toughness..I'm not so sure about heat dissipation though.

(At the very least, I don't see any pro grade DSLR's frame being made of aluminum)

From the link you posted Im trying to figure out which part is meant as the trim for the M15x which is plastic. I have a M15x and the palmrest area is the only part I think is plastic, elsewhere its mostly magnesium... Which is why its heavy.....and the palmrest feels the same as the M17x which is why I am not sure where this mentioned Trim area is....?

I think when it comes to heat Alluminium is better than Mag. But mag is not as soft as Aluminum IIRC. Your EOS 1D is Mag iirc...which is the choice material for durability

i think u guys have to change ur mind d. If u think thier quality is crap, then u will never success.
Acer is a big company which sell laptop, they also need thier reputation. They will improve thier quality as well.
Like thier 5943G is the best product ever, the quality build is even better than Dell with the same price and same spec.(5850 which have better performance at the price range that 5943G offer)

Mine the build quality and structure is kinda stupid.

RAM compartment is at left palm (damn hot)

Below touchpad is HDD, which can go up to 50C in AC room without cooler. (very hot and uncomfortable)

Right palm, which no one puts they're hands on is wireless card, which is not hot at all.
GC fan hole.. 1/3 of the space is whole, others is blocked.

So far where i have put my hands on, the color came out..

And all the NOT hot places are behind the keyboard where you cant feel at all... and all the hot ones infront.

After 5 months, proc on game is 70-76C and GC is 60-66C...

But cooler helps alot..

You mean Acer 5943G? HDD reaching 50C? Mine one not even pass 40C.

Other Acer if i got 5943 i happy already..

well, older proc is running hot as well, HDD below touch pad i think is normal, even Alienware also the same, for the fan hold, my mac 1 all had been covered, but i think would be nice^^
for older Acer i think is kinda stupid which i agreed(not 6920/6935 ), for this year newer version all seems nice ^^

nothing perfect!!
My mother acer was awesome, dy 6 years +... still in good condition.

conclusion.. DEPENDS on your luck..

I've another Acer that still working great after 4/5 years since the day I bought it, it would go BSOD unless I use a cooler, what an old man.

wondering how many degree ruduced after u guys put on the cooler....

Meh.. I use cooler on my 6935g just to cool the HDD.. or else it'll go up to 50C.. lol~~ with cooler 45C..

CPU cannot read temps.. lol..
GPU at 65C max with 30%OCed

what freeware is to show the temp ?
