Is like why Acer is cheaper, cause they had cut cost in some of the parts.
i compare for u to see
1) Display- Alienware vs Asus G73JH/JW
RGB LED vs Normal LED (The LCD used by Alienware is double cost of the Asus)

2) Chassis- Alienware vs Asus G73JH/JW
Aluminium Chassis vs Rubber ( Aluminium is well known for Cooling, Solid, and PRICE)

3)Heat Sink- Alienware vs Asus G73JH/JW
Alienware used a massive and big Heat Sink, and also big air ventilation.

4)Graphic Card
Alienware have 2 Slot which is upgradable for Graphic card.

5)Warranty
Alienware have onsite service(One day time to fix ur laptop), Asus need 3 days working day(u have to send to service center)

6)Reputation
THIS IS WHAT WE CALL ALIENWARE

these 2 only apply to the m17x rite? as i rmb...the m15x have a magnesium frame and plastic trim instead of aluminium

bout the heat sink....i believe both are quite on par since the asus is using a similar cooling set up

Actually something caught my mind, Aluminium vs Magnesium. lol
Magnesium is defo better than Aluminium in terms of toughness..I'm not so sure about heat dissipation though.

(At the very least, I don't see any pro grade DSLR's frame being made of aluminum)

Where did you guys got the information about the material anyway? Some reference would be nice.

wonder how is the beast look like... M15x with 9 cell battery biggrin.gif
the shape of 9 cell battery is not the same as 6 cell battery?
*
slightly taller/thicker than 6 cell.but it makes a tilting position which is quite nice
