Suspecting the seller is either untrustable(conning) or he's a sales representative/staff in china selling refurbish unit/ new unit with staff price.

400gb hdd or dual hdd? The hdd seems smaller capacity than usual Alienware standard.

its stated 410gb since its 250+160...
from the spec u can know that its refurbished...

the item is legit indeed, but not the system.

as riku2replica said, eventho you can save a lot from them, but i don't think they will entertain you if your unit face any problem. it not covered by Dell for sure, and the status of hardware itself is not reliable.

for example your mobo damaged after a month usage, its easily cost you RM1,500+

well, it is a refurbished unit... so if any problem happens, u pay wat u get laa.. hehehe... but its still a good bargain... hehehehe

i at first just click the link and straight saw the price without seeing the specs.

after knowing that it refurbish, i lost my interest already. Malaysia also have link that, but usually they just sell within them. 11k sold @ less than 4k. thats why i not shocked after knowing that its refurbish

well if its not refurbished and they are selling it at that kind of price, something wrong alreadi... hehehe...

guys, i think u guys all guess the wrong answer.

Sales representative only handle new unit with the margin of 10% from the Original price u saw online there. which means if Alienware u saw online is Rm6000, the price of sales agent saw is RM5400. so u can call in to nego.

For refurbish unit only able to get by Engineering deparment, warranty and service department, sales and marketing department, Dell provide a good refurbish unit(without warranty) that thier parts mostly are in good condition, like my latitude, ARB unit(no warranty) bought 2 years ago, RM1.8k only with Core 2 Duo T9500, untill today haven spoil yet.

Electronice stuff are depends on ur luck, even though macbook, acer or other manufacture also face the same problem. Like M11x, mine untill now haven meet the hinge problem which most of the people here or oversea also face this problem.

For new unit, are u guys comfirm those parts are originally is new to make a new laptop? if u think yes, then u guys are wrong. Even though new unit that just launch, some of the unit are made by refurbish unit. 1 of my friend work in the engineering department there told me that, Only graphic card, proccessor, hardisk, ram are not refurbish unit, other parts mostly are refurbish

So whats the conclusion from that poison post ?

so conclusion is Dell Alienware will not refurbish the hardware but the chasis, LCD, Web Cam, Touch Pad, keyboard, speaker?
