Dear Alienware friends,

I'm from Sarawak. Got my m15x on day one and realized that the touchpad does not work..even after the synaptics installed. I uninstalled Synaptics and by right Windows 7 should have detected the touchpad hence automatically installed its own driver. But nth happened so CONFIRMED its the hardware problem for the touchpad.

The seller is a very nice person and said that he will fight for a new laptop to replace this. What I wanna ask is that HOW HIGH CHANCE it is to get a new one? Honestly, I will be really annoyed and sad if Alienware rejected this and replace with hardware parts instead of sending a new one.

Who would want their laptop to be tore apart, inspected and did smth inside on just Day 3 when u bought a expensive Alienware brand laptop...I'm really worried bout this

but mostly not going for m11x i think..
because she want long battery life and normal screen size like 11" to 14"..
with a good GC to support some games..

just think that m11x will be more solid gua.

By the way, after you guys buy the alienware laptops, can you upgrade it like changing the graphic card and processor?

M15X now costs around how much?
I found an Alienware dealer in my area (sarawak) and he told me M15X ranges from rm5200 to rm5999 based on the specs i want

Not asus. Asus decided not to put in GTX 480m due to power issue too, So they stick to gtx 460m.

haha actual the estimated time is on 15 oct, but dell sent me a txt that they will sent the aw on the 12th. wow so excited. patient my fren. yours will arrive..

that's why I compare Asus~  Asus and AW have that aggressive look instead of Sager's plain looks~ 

Not interested in skinning what is already beautiful to me. I feel the sleek look is whats going for Alienware though I'm sure they are others that take a different view.

For protection with Invisible shield then ok but I then think about the heat dissipation when covered with a layer of plastic/polymer... ?    Will it hamper?

8GB RAM? 4GB is enuf la..

yup ,4 GB enough, 8GB vs 4GB = 1 Milimeter improvement
Core i5 vs Core i7 = 2FPS improvement

wan good performance? go for m15x, M11x will not satisfy for ur gaming experience

42 sound and look nice, but for gaming, not nice, i own a 52" sony 100Hz 1, gaming like suffer, so big screen
