This Dlink DIR-615 sucks!

In Wifi mode, all my Apple products have trouble connecting to it. So, I disabled Wifi and left it as wired mode. Took out my trusty Linksys WAP-54G from the store room and everything worked perfectly.

Going to convert this crappy Wifi router into a VLAN switch and use my old Linksys WRT-54GS with DDWRT as wireless router (to cover 1st and 2nd floor) and WAP54G to cover 3rd floor.

actually it totally dead once b4, then I restore the firmware and it back to normal

and then sometimes the wifi will keep on failing...but after few times of restart, or after 1 day, it back to normal again

yesterday, don't know what happened, the router failed again,now i fed up already...

if I wanna replace it, how ar?
since my family sometimes watching the IPTV, i think not possible to use a 3rd party router rite?

With all the DEAD DIR-615s popping up in this forum why on earth are they still distributing that POS router to new UNIFI customers?

They must've struck a cheapo deal with D-LINK to supply them with faulty 2nd hand el chepo 615s for bargain basement prices in exchange for exclusivity lol.. That's what you get for such a POS router...

They're all like ticking time bombs, waiting to explode.....

At this moment you no need to pay for it... just use those 100 points that you have to subscribe...  but from 1st Nov 2010 onwards, you have to pay for it...

Got mine replaced within 12H hehe.
Call the CS 1300-88-1221 and ask for a replace. They will set an appointment for a technician to replace the crappy 615 at your home.
The TM technician told me, they are going to replace with other brand soon.. now they need to finished all the stocks 1st! (dunno la true or not hehe)

How much would that be? How do i check my remaining points btw?

This is crap... My fourth day with unifaiiilll, and without fail everynight at around 9 something download speed slows to a crawl.
this is ridiculous...

is this happend since u install unifi? seriusly do ask the installer to wait & see for half n hour maybe. coz sometime this kind of problem might happend after they finish..

Nope, this is my fourth day with it... It's normal during the day, but slows to this speed every night around 9pm - 2am.

For HyppTV, is there a way to set 16:9 ratio via HDMI? Now set at 4:3 and option is grayed out.

ATM, they haven't cap yet. I'm on 5Mbps package and torrent speed up to 550Kb/sec easily.

Just saw the contractor install the Unifi box one floor down of my house.Heard that my area will be covered by the end of this year-Tmn Sri Sentosa,Old Klang road.
