Hi Digir,

Do you know what is different between this two specification. Went to a shop at kepong just now, they are selling at RM550.00
*
From the spec sheet, the only BD-D5100 lack is optical output but it has newer user interface, I assume.
I saw many places selling RM399. You can get it at Best Denki, Courts or even Tesco.

The last visit I went to Summit USJ Best Denki recently and they told me RM 900+.
Better ask them bang the player...they are not genuine and con-shop!!
My advice please don't go to Best Denki at Summit.

Yesterday I saw at Houz Depot at damansara sell RM 459 but the latest one BD-D5300 sell at RM 499. Newer than C5500

Bro,

Thanks for your info. just got a unit from him at 399.00. have to pay extra 10.00 for CC charge. This player is really good for this price.

I saw he still have 12unit left. So any bro want to buy this bluray player, you can call him (Mr Lai) at this number 016-2158699. He is in Sri Kembangan. It still worth the journey where im staying at damansara damai. heheheheh

Could any bro there can teach me how to link this bluray remote control to my panasonic plasma tv ah?

Thank you

Refer to pg 19 of your user manual and try the codes for Panasonic TV. Hopefully one of them will work. Good luck.

Great you got it. Can't imagine that place do sell this player. Haha... Yes he still have many stocks. I guess other electrical appliances also quite cheap.
Will go there in future for others stuff. For those who want to buy, better grab fast now.

well.. the c5500 also can support external hardisk playback.. the only gripe is the need to use .srt (subtitle) for mkv playback (other players can support embedded subtitles), and some mkv files cannot be played (coded problem?).

there is two entry model, one is D5300 and the other is D5100. I guess both is okay, tome, C5500 is s til the best rclxms.gif one of the reason is the touch panel on the player, if i'm not mistaken, the newer model, are push buttons.

My bluray player bdc5500 now getting problem. Before this it happen no sound.
After I turn off for 1 day, then switch ON back the sound came out.

Now when turn ON the player did not display the front menu at LCD TV.
It only display "samsung bluray player" a few second then it turn dark(no display).
When I play bluray disk, the sound only can be hear but still no video display.

I think my HDMI port already have problem or getting "kong". I dont know. maybe this due to I updated to latest firmware, or due to
I always off in "standby" mode not totally power off the player.
Very frustrated.
Time to check my warranty card.

Anyone getting this problem?

Hmm is it over heating or something...keep monitoring.

Mine is on standby the whole day, so far so good...no issues and I have not upgraded any firmware, although everytime I go online, it would say, upgrade the latest FW, but so far I didnt do it, since nothing is broken.....

BTW, I still prefer the panasonic youtube search and maneuver compared to samsung.

Agree, Samsung's Youtube app sucks. Its search is not as extensive and precise as doing it on a PC. It returns a very limited number of hits also. I hope there's an upgrade for it.

For DVD, the audio that you can get at most is DTS and/or Dolby Digital 5.1 and usually the DTS will sound louder and thus seems "better". Dolby True HD is only available on Blu-ray disc (BD). If you find true HD on a DVD, it is probably a copy from BD and is not really true HD. I may be wrong.

Ya. Dts is louder. I jus search google for DTS vs Dobly. Most vote DTS.
My mistake on True Hd, because i saw the icon on receiver, i tot is True HD. Thanks man.
