Hello.... I just need some recommendation on which brand should I buy, since I want to replace my existing, yet getting "old" modem with wireless AP...currently using LevelOne ADSL and LevelOne Wifi AP, and my AP seems going to die if there's a lot connections going through, like transferring large data [like streaming movie from other pc]...and it will either disconnect everyone, or just die...have to restart the AP, or even reset few times before I can get the connection back.

But if newly installed, its update file about 60-70MB ++ takes more than 2 hours still haven't completed yet... (Using DiGi HSDPA speed)

My office uses both Avira and Kapersky.

One thing I don't like about kaspersky is the update takes forever to complete.

In my opinion, which is based on my experiences:

Avira Personal v10 (free) + Malwarebytes (paid, with realtime protection module activated) = perfect combination to protect PC against virus, trojan, rootkit, etc.

Use the money to buy Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware at MYR 81.40. Link - https://store.malwarebytes.org/342/?scope=c...kout&cart=29945

It's a full lifetime license. Just buy 1 time only and use forever. Worth the money.

No point on having new versions keep coming out when the database contains lots of false positives. MBAM has done a great job in keep their database up-to-date almost everyday.

Ya, recently it cant detect the autorun.inf virus. But avira able to detect and block it. Kaspersky update took very long time... Why like this?
*
You sure? Even McaFee can detect it, why don't Avira could not detect at all? Not all autorun.inf is virus files... Vaccinated autorun.inf is PRESENT if you want to protect yourself from being infected... Even KIS can protect ur pc by disinfection, but Avira never at all....

top ten review is not relevant at all. If you use Web of Trust you can find many people complaining about that site. They're basically a company that will do decent review (high education people will smell their review sound fishy) for product that any company that pay them. If you notice there are zero amount of review for software that are free of charge. The more you paid them the higher the score they will give for your product. Even they have link to buy any product that are desired, and they will get amount of commission for each product sold. That mean money can manipulate them and they're not transparent in reviewing.

Conclusion is stay away from TopTenReview. I used to believe them too back in the day.

I can tell you that the previous fellow's comment might be legitimate. I do have this encounter before.

When my friend return my thumb drive, i found out that there is an autorun .inf file.( i showed all my hidden files in my laptop)

Fortunately, i am using windows 7 hp. And i guess i am not infected coz after numerous restarts and using pen drive, none of them is infected with autorun.

I straight off delete the autorun file. It seems to be end of story.

However, after using kaspersky virus removal tool to scan my friend's infected computer and capture some virus. The PC is not free from virus.

I still have the autorun infecting my pen drive and KIS just won't quarantine it. ( i use my pen drive to insert the tool into the infected system)
