Hi, I have already full of fire with my current antivirus KIS 2010. When it detected other program that like virus, (it is not virus) it auto restart my PC without warning. I very hate this, not that all, the first time I run the update, the update file size about 60++ MB, already updated 2 hours still haven't done...

So I planning to use another antivirus, - Avira. Is it ok? I heard my friend said it quite good... I am also using now, the free version. If good, next year I will change to premium version...

I used Karspersky before. Got virus that it can't detect.

Ya, recently it cant detect the autorun.inf virus. But avira able to detect and block it. Kaspersky update took very long time... Why like this?

and my question in other thread as you quoted are not about subscribing to what ISP, it's about which brand of devices should I buy  notworthy.gif

But if newly installed, its update file about 60-70MB ++ takes more than 2 hours still haven't completed yet... (Using DiGi HSDPA speed)

I support Avira, it won't cause me any problem since July when I starting 2 use it. And it doesn't slow down my PC at all... If good, next year I will buy the premium version.

Sometimes when Kaspersky detects any viruses in your PC, it will automatically delete & restart PC without any warning. Thats why I have changed to Avira.

Is it the "friendly" virus being deleted?

So far, it never restart my laptop without warning. Did you left your PC scan when you are not around your PC?

While I am playing games... It detects game trainer as viruses (Trojan) & straight restarted my PC.

been using KIS since 2 years ago, so far so good

It slowed my PC startup... Sometimes also blocking File Sharing Feature... Annoying... Now I am using Avira Free + Comodo Free firewall... Startup faster than using Kaspersky. Also get free Internet Security Package already...

Thank you for your suggestion.  I may give it a try.  I did see that you recommend NOD32.  Is it a good , paid Antivirus program?  I am quite disappointing with KIS now.  It gives some false positive detection (as I use some bots and craked programs) and it is slowing down my laptop and desktop.

I might be giving a try on Avira Free + Comodo Free firewall, what do you think?

Currently using both combination rclxms.gif
