im looking for Desire HD Sense 2.0 for me...

If you change ROM, make sure you repeat the steps.
Perform Task29, etc is the best way.

If you upgrade ROM, just wipe Dalvik will do.

I didnt perform task29 when upgrading rom, are sure its needed since CWR already clear the nand ?
*
I don't know, bro. All ROM chefs recommend Task29 before flashing new ROM.

Before this, I tried to flash multiple ROM without Task29. Only Wipe data, wipe dalvik, and all other wipes. Ended up, many errors and problems when using ROM.

I'm now back to MIUI. Haha, I don't know what's wrong with CM7 ROM on my HD2.
Always auto reboot. sad.gif

If you are going to do a Task29, just do a full factory reset and flash ROM. That is the same. Task29 is only useful for WM ROMs. Wipe data, dalvik is only if you are not flashing entirely new kernel. e.g. Hiero, Kefir is derivative of Tytung... so it should be ok.

Just my 2 cents smile.gif

If your HD2 is not your daily driver, then go flash away... usually I will wait for the +.1 update.

But this update is crazy... 3000+ on quadrant tongue.gif because all apps is in EXT...
*
Wow, this ROM sounds good ya. Maybe I should give it a try too.

Wow... since there were no serious problems, I jumped into 2.8.7 Dorimanx.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW.... way smoother than playing with SGS2!

Really really fast. No lag at all. WOW.....

you ALL have to try this wei...
*
Wahlau eh, don't make me itchy leh.
Do they support A2SD?

I'm now back to TyphooN CM7 since they're the first to release Android 2.3.7.
Hopefully no more auto-reboot after this.

I'm now facing the touch screen issue. Sometimes my screen just wouldn't respond to my touch.
My warranty period is over and I just asked a shop. He said our HD2 spare parts are expensive and the cost of changing our screen will be about RM500+.
*
IMHO, if the screen is really so expensive, I would prefer you to buy a 2nd hand HD2, which will cost around RM750-RM950.

Hmm, my friend told me about this Galaxy Note too.
It's really a good phone, but I wonder how much it'll be.

I love it.

*
Yeah, CM7 is the first and only HD2 ROM with Android 2.3.7 right now.
Others are still lagging behind at 2.3.5.

Well, I saw Galaxy Ace has CM7 Android 2.3.7 too.

Frankly speaking, it's really stable and no more random reboots. A2SD supports it too. This is what I love.
Only slow reboots. I guess I've too many apps.

I'm wondering, will we be getting Android 4 (Ice Cream) in future?

Ice cream sandwhich (v.24)?
why not , by cosmetics looks, no much different with Gingerbread, perhaps stock AOSP might possible due lightest rom from Cynogen Mod

Im predicting HD2 lives until Jelly Bean (Android 2.5)
*
I might jump ship to HD7 once HD7 is fully ported to Android.
HD7 will be my next replacement for my HD2.

Yeah, actually, I didn't really see any difference between Android 2.3.5, 2.3.6 and 2.3.7.
As for performance, yes, I can feel it. 2.3.7 is better than previous 2 versions.

And I don't really mind about the features.
As long as Android version is 4.0 (Ice Cream), it's good enough because Android phones don't even have the opportunity to get it.
Even 2.3.7 now, I can show off already. Haha... nod.gif rclxms.gif brows.gif

Yeah, bro enCORe has mistaken.
You're right. Ice Cream is 4. It's due to Honeycomb already on 3, so impossible Android will go back to 2.4.

i want to "Permanently" flash it to android. any ROM that is good..stable? any latest complete guide to flash from 1st till end...thanks ya..n any thing i need to take note? other than do back up?

I would recommend TyphooN CM7. Stock native Android (no Sense, nothing) with A2SD support.

Look below for guides to flash and partition SD card.

QUOTE(dxchen @ Oct 10 2011, 01:18 PM)
How to do clean and new flashing? Any pro willing to show steps?

This guide is for those who are flashing HD2 for the first time.

This guide is for those who are having problem partitioning SD card for A2SD.

Nandroid is a backup app.

If you've nothing to backup, then skip.
If you've only SMS and contacts to backup, sync with your Gmail.

Upgrade latest winmo rom with radio 2.15 ; Install MAGLDR ; Install HD toolkit for partition setup ; download & flash your ZIP rom through Recovery menu.

andyjyneo
Since youre in 2.3.7, is there any noticeable speed/performance compare the 2.3.5/6 one ? After using Typhoon & Doremon rom Im back to using tytung-nexushd2

neato4u
TQ, this might be handy

TyphooN CM7 2.3.7 is very stable. More stable and faster than 2.3.5. No more lagging.
I noticed that to set a wallpaper, crop size has been changed.

andy u miss one,
After playing alot with super fast Cynogen type rom, Im moving to NDT MIUI r31 by langthang, the most active MIUI and most stable.

Im gonna stick for while smile.gif
*
Yes, NDT MIUI is stable, but they support A2SD till 512MB only.
I got tons of apps, so 512MB is insufficient for me.

EDIT:
Just found out that there's a new MIUI ROM in the house.
It has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich launcher in it.
Sportsstar's MIUI

I'm going to try them one by one and see which one is the best.

Added on October 16, 2011, 2:40 amThe following MIUI ROMs that I've just tested personally:
1. LADY MIUI (Icons are pretty, menu icons are beautiful and colourful, but the only downside of this ROM is the status bar. Not really attractive. I don't like the time at center, & HSDPA/3G/2G, WiFi and network signal strength is replaced by some funny icons.)
2. Sportsstar MIUI (Impressive ROM. Fast boot time. Boot screen shows "HTC Quietly Brilliant" logo just like original phone. I would say this is the best MIUI ROM. If you want Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich launcher, choose this.)

I'm really happy with Sportsstar MIUI, so I didn't try out the rest. I think I'll settle down with this MIUI ROM.

why u like sports MIUI ? was it because of the cosmetics ?
*
Yup, because it supports A2SD, most importantly.
2nd, very fast boot time. No more waiting.
3rd, they've ICS launcher, which is new and good.
4th, Market is not lagging.

encore,
it's no wonder I can't seem to find any guide on how to do it .. I want android to be my primary os hence why I installed it on the nand .. looks like if I want to play with wp7 i need to install it on the nand instead ..
*
It's either you install Android on SD and have WP7 on NAND OR Android on NAND only.

Normally, guys who use HD2 are more interested in Android/Ubuntu/Meego than WP7.
WP7 is just plain useless.

Dont say liddat  blink.gif , WP7 was mean for simple user, still better than dumbphone like Symbian, its good alternative than preinstalled winmo in HD2

but its true Android world is alot better  nod.gif
in the meantime let fill our emptiness thread  yawn.gif  with some home screen
ROM- NDT MIUI R32 by Langthang, theme WP7 Dark (with Locksreen), & Launcher 7  cool2.gif

Yeah, I like NDT also, but too bad, his A2SD support has limit.
That makes me think twice.
