Providing bill to collect payment is Business Expenses but Maxis chose to make it customer's cost  

just got my maxis fibre installed this morning. both maxis and TM technician came to install. TM technician came to do cabling and provide modem. Maxis technician came to provide phone, router and account details.

Maxis are renting TM's infrastructure. So basically if unifi is down, maxis will be down as well. same goes to P1 and the coming soon celcom/digi home fibre.

so far satisfied with the service and speed. no regrets

average speed 9mbps.
maxis only provide the router and cordless phone. the rest all from TM.

let say if maxis really implement the hotspot thing,
can we just change the provided wifi router with those in the market, they should not be able to enable the hotspot?

yup.. any problem will have to call maxis and they will check if need to contact TM or not. however the technician who installed mine just now is so kind. he let me keep his number and ask me to call him first if any problem. he will come n check if need to call maxis customer service or not.

I called Maxis, they confirmed that my area infra is solely on Maxis, but certain place is joint infra with TM.
Please share the installation time, and how the installation like...

guys i suggest to you all to read the T&C on Maxis website very carefully 1st before applying. I myself was thinking of applying for this Maxis fiber optic and decided to read the T&C and some of the terms is kinda unacceptable to me. Just like the term jktlee has highlighted, and while it looks simple it has tons of implications on your network system.
For example I plan to have a 24/7 server on my home network, but if Maxis is going to make me open my network for people to use then I have a very weak point on my network already open for compromise pretty much legally.

Warranty is a year. If thunder strike within 1 year, can still claim warranty. RM192 is the face value of the downloads and also the PC antivirus. From what I understand, its PC only (desktop/laptop), or rather, normal computer OS.

Maxis Customer Service called me to answer my enquiry for Maxis Home Fibre

1. No 6% Govt Tax for the Maxis Home Fibre service only. VOIP usage (> free minutes) will be charged 6%
2. Two bills will be generated : Internet bill + VOIP bill
3. After 24-month, it will remain RM118 or whichever new package you choose to switch.

Question here:
1. what is the term for the free minutes provided (to Maxis mobile and IDD)? are they actually a one time thing or a monthly limit that u can utilize over and over again?
2. do we really need to terminate our current streamyx subscription before we can apply for this maxis home fibre?

Any Internet access which is faster than 256kbps is considered as Broadband for Income Tax Relief (up to Year 2012 only)

Just back from Maxis centre they say each month need pay rm118 + 6% GST too. Then next time if over limit quota the speed will very very low. Over limit call charges for maxis mobile & non maxis mobile rm0.90 per min on subsequent charges, charges to non maxis fixed line local call rm0.05 per min. For those already get the wifi modem need to ask this modem can connect how many LAN cables?

They still yet to install Home at my place, although i already receive the bill so i cannot confirm anything further beside what i read in the manual.

Wait for Najib's Sep 28 Budget 2013, to see if it will be extended... it should be extended indefinitely + increase to RM1000
