but 70% of my family uses maxis, and we have relatives in Singapore, Indonesia..

this clause u mean:
"You accept and acknowledge that Maxis reserves the right to leverage onto your residential WiFi modem to
cater to the Maxis Hotspot service which may be accessible by the general public who are subscribed to the
service. The Maxis WiFi Hotspot service does not increase your available bandwidth and will not impact your
internet quota nor will it cause degradation of the Service performance, security or risk issues to you."

Hi Ryudell,

They are saying this way but later we have to prove it does affect. I assure 100%, talk to any network engineer connecting 10, 100 and 1000 users connecting to the the same access point well never not have any drop in network performance. Yes you can block wifi access from outside but hence you have just break their terms and condition because in the court of law. If you wish to press charges, you have already sign the contract in the T&C.

I am upset that someone or departments in Maxis they can write such in-responsible statement. I assure in Europe or United States, Maxis will be sue for this . I know I  will first in line do it and complain  to consumer tribunal.

QUOTE(jktlee @ May 28 2012, 05:55 PM)
Despite being 12 years with Maxis. I went to Japan Nov last year on internet roaming. My credit limit is 2K. My bill end up 8K but they give 2K discount with amount of 6K.  I had to pay 6K but I don't have the time to go tribunal because I had to make an honest living here.

So what is the principal of credit limit ?  They answer giving is that they can't control since is  a foreign operator. Imagine my bill from 1.5K one night shot up to 4K in 6 hours and then 6K in the another 6 hours.

That why Maxis I wish to congratulate the very good dividends and excellent way to ripping people way. I not afraid of  Maxis because I still have all the evidence with me. Is that I have to apply leave to get this case sort out and this is out my own expense.  I am 100% sure I am not the first customer with this case.

Rest assure please beware when you do international roaming.  I would rather donate the money to charity then to have it wasted just like that.

seriously? shocking.gif
then what is the purpose of the credit limit they imposed??
suppose the line should be barred after exceeded the limit!

my friend keep complaining on the new promotion 118 with 10mbps (he applied 6mbps RM128 sept 2011)

finally, Maxis allow him to upgrade from 6mbps to 10mbps with new price RM118, without any penalty.

anyone get this?
*
i heard a few furious subscribers who subscribe the 4mb n 6mp before 10mb became rm118 went outrage at maxis because they feel cheated

doh.gif This is NOT about bandwidth limit. This is about INVASION of PRIVATE PROPERTY. Why the hell should they use MY INFRA to DO THEIR BUSINESS while still CHARGING ME???

And i don't like they kacau my WIFI. I need all the WIFI bandwidth i can get to stream movies at home. Not provide free service to some Joe who parked outside my house to surf web and add more interference to the WIFI signal!

I agree be VERY VERY careful when you on international roaming and internet roaming with Maxis.
My boss, have to pay 15K to maxis when he was in Germany for a week.

Maxis simple answer like above, they can't control since is a foreign operator.

Maxis is daylight robber here.
*
they are known for that..that is y i dont use roaming at overseas..
i will buy local number even staying for 3days
