My physics score is quite poor. But GPU wise all good.

I have a question. I tried to overclock my Gigabyte GTX570 using MSI's afterburner. But I can't find any way to adjust the core voltage as it seems to be disabled. I already chose "Unlock voltage control". Is there any other way to change the voltage?

have u tried this step?

QUOTE
Unlock OC Limit
1.) You'll need to Open the MSIAfterburner.cfg with Notepad
2.) Change the "enable unofficial overclocking" Value of 0 to 1. Select "File" and select "Save as".
3.) When the "save as" window pops up select "All Files" in the "Save as type" box and save!
4.) It wil ask you to confirm the "Overwrite of the file" Select "yes".
5.) And finally, the result is that you can fully change the Voltage and Clock frequency of the Core and Ram on you Video Card.
You are done and should be able to Use ONLY MSI Afterburner to overclock your GTX500/400 Series Card past the max AB Frequency!

Other than that u can also use nVidia Inspector 1.95.9

hilmiangah is right. Your CPU is bottlenecking the system thus yielding a low score.
IMO it's time to upgrade to a quady. nod.gif

Waiting for Ivy Bridge. Unless if I can get my hand on socket 1156 quadie, or someone can offer me cheap Sandy Bridge M4G + 2500k/2600k. But I'm kinda lazy to resetup everything. Need a new system.

Depends on what game, Metro 2033 and BF3 single player no problem, but my FPS drops dramatically in BF3 multiplayer. Both of these are the most graphic hungry game I have.

i suspect the problem is vga cable because i have tried viewsonic led's audio, when i connect the earphone to viewsonic back panel its damn noisy even on desktop
i've change to a damn thick and gold plated vga cable and the flicker doesnt happen anymore doh.gif

ps. skyrim, even 750mhz on 70C also will flicker in game, suddenly almost whole screen

is it possible? or the flicker just random occurs, i overclock memory around 100mhz

Flickering could be caused by some reasons. Bad OC due to insufficient voltage/power, bad PSU, bad driver, bad VGA port on gc or monitor, VGA cable got bent pin.

Why don't you try to confirm or rule out VGA cable as the cause of this by using HDMI, DVI, display port or anything?

Although Im the wrong person to answer about safe limit. Safe vGPU would be 1.1v & clock depends on vid of the chip. Different chip different vid hence different max clock. Roughly 850-950MHz.

Yea BF3 will hog most of the vram but I deem BF3 is really unstable, the game has crashed occasionally for me but other games give no problems at all. For example, I have Metro2033 which is more gpu hunger and it has no problems.

One of the possibilities is bad PSU
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=216496

I had laggy issue with my tri SLI GTX580 1.5GB due to limited insufficient VRAM on 2560x1600. Need at least 2GB VRAM for this game & that's why im on 7970 now lol.

I agree with you and only a BF3 player would understand smile.gif A non serious BF3 player that only plays 10 hours or less wouldn't know what we are talking about. I run on a AX 1200 PSU, tried with GTX 570 SLI, GTX 580 1.5 GB SLI, GTX 580 3 GB SLI but it still crashes randomly at 2560 x 1600. All other games works fine so let's not blame other components smile.gif

Hi,

I've been thinking of overclocking my Asus GTS 450..
I'm super new to overclocking, and I need some instructions on how to overclock my graphics card. My specs are in my sig.
Please also tell me what software must I download to overclock it.

I'm not really sure what to overclock, probably something that will increase framerate in games smile.gif
I don't plan to overclock the fan of the GC, because noise is pretty important to me, so yeah.

Thanks in advance!

You can download MSI AfterBurner and read some guides on how to do it smile.gif
