I wouldn't buy that It's huge, bulky and impractical plus I doubt it gives you 5-10C lower than the Arctic Xtreme Plus. Until this is proven, I rather get a simple cooler rather than this exaggerated one.

U didn't increase the voltage, so the temp max out at the same point.
My GTX580SLI is OCed 785 to 880 w/o increasing volt the temps didn't change at load.

So it means that the temperature very much related with the voltage. Am i right?

PSU also affect ur max OC. My last GTX480SLI I could go 880 with HX1000, but AX1200 allows me to do 900.
To adjust voltage in AB, go to Settings under Safety Properties, tick "Unlock Voltage Control" and "Unlock Voltage Monitoring", clock OK and restart the prog.

off topic. SilverStone GOLD series is coming by next week heard a lot cheaper than Corsair.

IMO, overclocking is getting the most out of the current hardware
so upgrading doesn't seem worth it to me.

i OC using MSI afterburner, i did select save profile, then apply. Checked it in GPU-Z, it did state overclock. But everytime I restart computer, the graphics card will return to its default settings. Why is this happening?

I wanna run Unigene. When I first launch it, there is a windows menu with lots of options.

API: I select DX11
Stereo 3D: I select disabled
Shaders: low, medium, high (i select high)
Tesselation: disabled, moderate, extreme (I select extreme)
Anisotropy: 1-16 (i select 16)
Anti-alliasing: 2x, 4x, 8x (i select 8x)
fullscreen: I check the option
resolution: 1680x1050 (my LCD resolution)

Do i just leave them default and click run? Or should I set something? I do notice if i select any options for stereo 3D, the unigene will crash.

Ran Unigine. My score as attached. I tried OC my GPU. Default was 725/1800/1450 (core/memory/shader). I manage to go to 825/2000/1650 and unigine can finish benchmark. Highest temperature clocked during this setting was 75°C. When I pushed to 850/2100/1700 unigene crashed within the first minute. Any idea if there is a way I can do it better?

Added on January 20, 2011, 2:34 pmI understand now. No wonder when I select any options under stereo 3D, the image will look blurry... then few seconds later, unigine crashed.... So normal LCD screen with no 3D function just leave stereo 3D disabled in unigine?

Is there even a 3D LCD monitor for PC yet?

ANSWER: yes. But depends on how deep your pocket is.

Did furmark and the OCCT also.... dunno what option to choose, i just click all that I can, set all to max. Attached are the results. One interesting thing, in furmark, my GPU temp reach 94°C.... hot hot hot..... guess I cannot push it more than 825/2000/1650


I notice my furmark score is very low compared to the rest that posted here. We are all mostly using GTX460. Why is my score so much lower? Is it because I enabled every option during benchmark? Should I not enable all those things? I just see check box available and I check them.

Edit: Ran furmark with all options disabled and that msaa thing set to disable or 0. Temp still high at 88°C. Guess that's the max I can go? Already at 825/2000/1650, done nothing at the voltage yet. Actually I don't know how to change voltage.

guys just a noob question...my GTX580 temp is around 81-86c during gaming..is it normal or i need to tweak the fan using msi afterburner?..its not o.c and my gc is leadtech

try furmark. If it is below 90 then it is safe. If it increase beyond it try to increase the fan speed.
BTW is the leadtek model having a non-reference cooler?
