May I know what is the stock voltage of 570?
My MSI seems to be a little higher than usual at 1.000v.

Nope. Anyway, I googled and found that some cards do come with higher stock voltage.
So I was thinking that maybe it could OC better at stock voltage.
Turns out it would'nt go past 800 core when people are getting higher at lower voltage.
Bad card. sad.gif

just a poorer card..not totally bad. BTW, I think if you buy stock cards from the manufacturers, I think the chance for OC-ing is less...I think they do binning. So the better ones go to the OC editions.

hi guys...sorry for the noobs question sweat.gif ...what is the best stability tools software for OC'ing purpose....

im using asus gtx460 directcu top 1GB clock at 950Mhz and mem at 4300Mhz max temp at 67c...
at the moment i'm just using MSI Kombustor, set it the reso to my native 1080p and thick stability test..but clueless about others setting...from those setting no artifact in shader nor mem , manage to pass more than 15minutes....even i try yesterday run it almost 8hours still ok... hmm.gif

but what make me doubt when i play bfbc2 with dx11....it never make full use of it....most of the time utilise at 15~30% @ clock at 450Mhz & 800Mhz shader temp average 55c rclxub.gif ..just only few times it stay at 950Mhz & 1900Mhz shader temp average 58c~62c then drop back shakehead.gif

so i'm quite lost rite now rclxub.gif ....i just need to make sure my oc'ing stable without doubting it and am not so into benchmark...please all sifus n tailor guide me the right way to do stability test notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

thanks in advanced... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Sounds like your oc is not stable and the GPU is downclocking it to safe speeds. Would suggest dropping your clocks or upping your voltage.

Did furmark and the OCCT also.... dunno what option to choose, i just click all that I can, set all to max.  Attached are the results.  One interesting thing, in furmark, my GPU temp reach 94°C.... hot hot hot.....  guess I cannot push it more than 825/2000/1650
I notice my furmark score is very low compared to the rest that posted here. We are all mostly using GTX460.  Why is my score so much lower?  Is it because I enabled every option during benchmark?  Should I not enable all those things?  I just see check box available and I check them.

Edit:  Ran furmark with all options disabled and that msaa thing set to disable or 0.  Temp still high at 88°C.  Guess that's the max I can go?  Already at 825/2000/1650, done nothing at the voltage yet.  Actually I don't know how to change voltage.

Your temps looks very high indeed - did you adjust your fan profile? MSI Afterburner allows you to tweak it very easily. Mine runs at 820/1640 @ 1v and 100% GPU load temp is ~62C. Casing ambient is hot 47C....

Before this I OCed my GTX460 until 870MHz. It gave me certain FPS while benchmarking. But when I OCed until 900MHz, it gives me FPS but lower than the 870MHz. I do pump up a bit of the voltage hmm.gif Does it means that the OC is not stable?

for the two 870MHz test, all hardware setting and clock are the same? unsure.gif

Yup. All the same. Do I need to run Furmark first before doing any benchmarking?

haha, this one i m not sure.
furmark is used for testing stability.
maybe you can stress it and make sure it is stable before running benchmark.
is the testing environment the same? any software interfere? unsure.gif

I closed all the running program before running the benchmark. Environment not the same since I ran benchmark during daytime before

haha, actually i mean OS environment.
but i don't know what happened there.
maybe got software interfere then lead to lower performance? unsure.gif

sorry for the late reply...ok i tried occt with reso 1080p,fullscreen,error checking..run on 10minutes....so far 950clocks at 1087mV cannot make it(forceware driver recovery)..but 910Mhz 1820Mhz shader 4200Mhz Mem at 1075mV can finish the test but with 219error...btw does it count as unstable? btw how bout config in furmark...mind to share with me the config to select?

p/s: BFBC2 with 910clocking almost 4hours no artifacts appear at all... hmm.gif

Hey guys, one noob question here
Can we still overclock a pre-overclocked gtx 570 for example this model here
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_p...oducts_id=16671

or anyone of you could suggest me a better brand in terms of cooling and performance ?warranty is not concerned as i heard evga only gives lifetime warranty to ppl in U.S
