Sure laa, 460 in SLI sure can beat 480 & the price still cheap compare to single 480 aite??  brows.gif  brows.gif

Hahaa, yeah Im still on 8800GT, playing BF2 only.. No need to upgrade for me~
My 8800GT still can handle my games.. Almost  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

I play BFBC2 using GTX480 still having FPS drop below 30 on a rare occasion when too many people spamming CG etc. It's still not enough for a maximum setting.

hmm u need to ask blizzy on this

cause he changed from 5870 to gtx480 and said there was a lot of improvement on BFBC2

just want to make sure its not a proc/bandwidth thingy.

I can't get pass 800MHz on core alone, at 825MHz 3D Mark will hang but at 815MHz my FPS will drop and 3D Mark result is lower than 800MHz core. I've tried to maximize the voltage at 1.138v but still not able to produce anything. Temperature maybe? But at 815MHz @1.138v the temp is just the same as 800MHz @ stock core voltage.

Try lower voltage, highest doesn't mean giving the most stable clock.
FPS becomes slower could be due to insufficient voltage.
In ur case, I would play with voltage at small bump.

As per siggy it's a Corsair HX 1000W,
and it is a bad idea to SLI a pair of OCed gtx480's with highly OCed i7 proc on a 1kW PSU.
can do better with higher wattage bro, ie. Corsair AX1200, CM 1200 Gold, Seasonic X1200 etc

I would like to build a system as below:

Intel Core i7 930 (Over Clock to 4GHZ)
Intel Gigabyte EX58A-UD3R
Kingston KVR 1333 DDR3 2G x 6
Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Green (64MB)
LG 22x DVD Writer
Cooler Master Casing USP100
EVGA GTX460 1GB D5 256Bit x 2 (SLI) Over Clock

1) So how many "WATT" do i need to run above my spec?? 750 W PSU is that good enough??Can u pls help ... notworthy.gif

Yes I do.
QUOTE
The GPU voltage apparently drops with the clocks when in 2D mode. If you overclock a lot, I guess this drop can result in instability. Having the voltage stay constant would obviously raise heat output and power consumption considerably, but if you're really pushing your card to the limit, constant voltage may be necessary to maintain stability.

The PhysX is handled by my GPU, that's why CPU score is inflated.
If PhysX on CPU, CPU score is equal to running vantage without PhysX.
PhysX on GPU is shown in GPU-Z, PhysX on CPU would be unchecked.

Like I mentioned before, we need a guideline here in this thread when posting 3D Mark Vantage score for GTX 400 series to standardize the benchmark score.

But since this is GTX 400 specific thread, I guess not to disable anything is the standard.
