search google for ibluetooth source.
you might get that source askme.com.

QUOTE(nazlizainuddin @ Nov 13 2010, 09:09 PM)
i'm running on maxis non-JB.
how to reflash firmware? but after i double click home button and kill the apps that running on background, usually 100% confirm no more apps running right?

thanks in advance
*
There might be no apps running background, dont you though about the processor that shared by the apps ?
Its so shocking for just apps its take 1minute.
Even my 2g not as slow as that.
Come on this is 4g.Of course Jobs advance the speed 4x then 2g.
Naz,reflash firmware is easy. But in advance letting you know that you have to back up all you data, contact, message which might important to you.
Open iTunes->Restore(wait for automatic restart)-> your phone now are ready to use as fresh you got from Maxis.
You can Jailbrake your phone if you looking for some cool apps and customizing your phone theme, dock and so on.
Just be caution,if you want to claim warranty your phone, just restore the firmware back to original.

I think my iPhone may have defects.

Sometimes I'm unable to make calls. When I try to make one, I simply hear 3 quick beeps and the phone says "call failed" and "call ended". The call quality itself is pretty poor, speech is still comprehensible and loud but sounds unclear and muffled, with an echo-like effect. My signal bars quite often drop to 2 or 3, sometimes even 1 (I'm on Digi). 3G speed is usually 0.3 to 0.5mbps.

Do you think there's something wrong with my unit?

not sure about the call failed and call ended problem.
for the signal, do you actually hold the ip4 "incorrectly"? do you touch the death grip?
and if i'm not mistaken digi 3g speed is on average of 700kbps where 0.3~0.5 should be normal? correct me if i'm wrong... notworthy.gif

By death grip do you mean covering the two gaps on the lower part of the metal band? No I dont do that, and I have a SGP silicon case so it shouldn't be a problem right?

yup is the left-handed gap. for my ip no problem wor, although when i hold the grip the signal will lose, but it dont really affect me much...
if you have a case then i think it shouldn't be the source of problem. maybe your area digi coverage not good? because for certain areas digi coverage is bad.

we already discuss this before.
my personal opinion on the "call failed" and "call ended" that been an issue on my 2g.
Mine is at&t set.So what i did, download the latest available firmware from direct iTunes.
Just unlock using Redsnow. No Jailbrake by Cydia.
Since then,my problem solved.
Since you mention the signal bars quite drop 2,3,try to reflash as what i did(advise only) and install new firmware.Fyi,iOS 4.2 is out.
I heard signal bugs are fixed on iOS 4.2.Give a try and see.
If still on problem, bring back to Digi and claim for new phone...

But iTunes says my iPhone firmware is up to date (4.1).

EDIT: I tried doing a hard reset (Sleep + Home button), problem still present, so I did a restore from iTunes, and now it's downloading a 590MB update. Is this 4.2?

Itunes only says like that because its preset in you iTunes.
So which mean iTunes only will check for new software and firmware update after several period(which stated blow the CHECK FOR UPDATE button.

Im not sure wether you downloading iOS 4.2.
If you click restore and then update, then it should be iOS4.2
Do update us back hows the performance you feel on iOS4.2

I googled and actually my problem (call failed/call ended) is widespread and has been present since the early days of iPhone. The solution is to go to Settings > General > Date and Time > (Here, switch off "Set Automatically" and manually select your hometown). Then manually set the date and time. And then Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID > Switch ON. I actually had the problem when I first got the phone a few days ago, and I followed those steps and it worked... until today when it resurfaced. I just used Set Automatically and then turned it off again and I can now make outgoing calls, but it seems this is yet another iPhone issue. I find it appalling that there are so many issues in a premium smartphone.

Anyway, Apple servers are slow so it's gonna take a few hours to download the update.

P/S: I clicked the check for update button to manually check for updates and it will still say no updates.

thats an alternative tweak for getting rid.i read that long time ago.
why dont you send for warranty by the time you encounter that ?
as i shared on the previous post are my personal experience.
that how i get rid of that.no not a big deal.

As i said, its depends on the connection.just plug the data cable and wait till it download and install in your phone.
If the problem still rise on your iTunes, open apple.com and look for bottom page.
but wait, its seems there a problem on 4.2.let me check.

I already installed the 590mb update. Problem is still there. Oh and it's not iOS 4.2, which I read isn't actually released yet. I think I'll go back to the Digi centre later. I have an SGP ultra crystal screen protector on it though , can I take it off and apply it later? It ain't cheap.

The problem is that the iphone cannot receive calls while transferring data on Edge. Do this test, turn off wifi, turn off 3G and start looking to a youtube video or surfing in safari and at the same time try to call your iphone... the calls go directly to VM. now allow 3g or wifi and watch a youtube video or use safari, the phone rings!. Even when you are in edge and you close let say safari or youtube, it takes like 5 min to the phone to start receiving calls. Since edge cannot be turn off my best solution is to turn off push notices, push mail, and check manually the email.

maybe this is the solution. maybe.. will check this out.. thumbup.gif

this will be the most pioneer question answering in LYN club.
Yes,you have to hard reset (reformat) the phone.
Yes,all the data will erase in your phone.
Unless the apps you download from iTunes you can retrieve back again from iTunes.
If yours are foreign set,you have to unlock.
Please use search button on this brother next time.

So I will have to get my iPhone replaced to get rid of the unable to make outgoing calls problem. No one at BTS Digi knows what's wrong. New stock is coming in sometime this week, hopefully on wednesday as that's a public holiday. The Digi rep said a large number from the new stock will be used to replace defective iPhones. I find it very disappointing that a premium-tiered, premium-priced phone can have so many problems. Thinking of emailing Steve Jobs to see if I get a response biggrin.gif

Oh, and I tried the call quality on another iPhone there, and I think I can safely say the voice quality for calls on the iPhone is crap. It seems the newer a phone is, the crappier it sounds.
