try to lodge complain on your phone to your carrier where the phone registed.
if you lucky,you might get a new set.
if no,be happy on what you get.
but seems most of ip4 user are sensitive on this.

Please help me with this problem.

I went to update my Iphone 3G to iOS4.1 first. Then I tried to use RedSn0W to jailbreak, but it didn't work.

After reading few blogs, they said if you already upgrade to iOS4.1, your baseline will not unlock (do not what this means).

So, I tried to restore back using Itunes, but the problem now, it hangs at 1/10 everytime i tried.

I tried with different computer also have the same problem.

Please help, I really need to use this phone urgently.

I just want to go back to the iOS4.1 back. I will not jailbreak anytime soon.

thinking of buying a 2-year-plus-old iphone 3g but i'm kinda worried about the battery lifespan. can i get the battery replaced with new ones here in malaysia?

and how much will it cost me?

also, say the phone was originally a locked phone and was unlocked later, will it be locked again when i get the battery replaced?

Did it cause by hardware or software failure?

about the pricing of changing battery, you can browse through GS and look for a member by the nick of crxr. his prices are reasonable and good service.

changing battery would not lock the phone. only upgrading the firmware/baseband may lock the phone if there is no unlock available.

You are welcome to buy.Ask the seller to charge fully and then test it during COD.
Play over with games,musics,and open up some apps and see.
See wether the battery drains fast or not.
If you want to negotiate with seller,turn on the battery percentage.
If the percentage drop while you on that stuff,nego with him.

Auto Restart its new to me.
I dont think its hardware.
Might be software problem.
iPhone just like pc.Alot of registry,files running on the same time.
Jobs claim 4x more faster,but user claim 4x more slower....

Alternatively you can view setting-general-usage.
and yes,you can view it at Maxis Online.But only end of the month statement.

same wiff my friEnds 3gs,got error code 3194 then error 20,

Copy all the picture in one folder.Open iTunes->your phone->photos->sync photo from (your folder)
Note,sync photo mean it delete your old photo and restore the new images(where you copied from n81)

normally lar,iphone 3g 8gb should be around rm600-800.due to the 8gb,some might down the price a little.
But remember one thing,negotiate with the seller pointing out some of defect on that phone like battery,housing and so on.
