plan not to spend more den Rm1500 for a used unit...
maybe got better suggestion...?
for event + portrait mostly...

At RM1500 budget, that is your best choice for a fast lens for DX sensor.

Maybe you can try prime lens like 35mm and 50mm. =)

17-50 if can get the without motor version. 1st gen from Japan. Else, forget it tongue.gif

coz they said VC actuali helps more at nite...

I didn't save any but saw it before.
And yes, hard to find.
Depends on your situation. Even with VC, shutter speed you think can go beyond 1/20 ? tongue.gif

You are going to get it for event right. People are moving around so 1/20s I think will not able to capture the moment that you want.

I'm using an older gen non-VC 1750, and its quite reasonable for events. As long as lighting is managed, ur good. But 1/20 indoors with movement? Hmm...

Is it worth if i sell my kitlens and get the Tamron 17-50?
But the longer reach on the kitlens sometimes help too.

i'm also trying to replace my kit lens with tamron 17-50 1st gen too but so far no luck on finding it..my fren has one but so far i failed to persuade him to sell it to me tongue.gif i hope they release the USD version soon..
