Was playing with 85mm yesterday and right after that, it caused me insomnia sad.gif

I hate Nikon. Pricing wise below 4.5k brows.gif

Told you already xD, even f/2.8 is going to give you a hard time doing hand held indoors without VR.

How does the 85mm f/1.4G fare against the older 85mm f/1.4D? So far I've only tried the 85mm f/1.4D. If you've access to both please compare ^^.
*
I don't have both lens side by side to do comparison.
G feel so solid and sharp even on f/1.4. Color on D300s looks so sharp and nice.

The f/1.4D is sharp at f/1.4 too. Only heard this G lens is 'sharper' and is faster (more light transmission at same settings) compared to D. Currently awaiting side by side comparison.

One thing for sure, I feel focusing quite slow. Personally feel tho. I might be wrong.

i remembered soft and dreamy style pics were quite popular in the 1980s wedding pics. smile.gif

It's still quite popular if you refer to bridal house photo. The photo I took actually was sharp enough but the dreamy effect I tried tend to bring out more feel for this photo. Personally feel so tho tongue.gif

My client was happy with this tho smile.gif

Rarely to almost none. I used to MF when I was on D40 with 85mm.
