Hi all.
Bought my D90 on June 2010 after a year of using D60.
I feel that the pictures taken with my D90 not sharp. I've tried using the kit lens and also 50mm f/1.8, both produce very soft image. I dont know whether it is my D90 problem or my laptop monitor problem.

Any advise?

By the way i have tweaked the Standard Picture Control setting. Sharpness increase to 5, Saturation increase to +1. Hope you all can help. Really jiwa kacau now....

Thanks for your reply.

I use single AF Point but the focus area on pics also not sharp. This happen to almost all of my pictures (mainly shooting portraits). sad.gif
As for the 50mm, i usually use aperture f/2.8 to f/4. FYI, i have been sent my D90 to Nikon to solve this problem but the pictures still soft.
Anyone stay near the Ampang area? if can,i want to compare the pictures taken by other D90.

Thanks in advance.

So, is the 35mm f/2 better than the 50mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.8? Btw, is the 35mm f/1.8G worth buying?

I was in the same dilemma like you too..but i went for the 1.8G as m pocket didn't allow for more tongue.gif so far no regret, it is actually better than my 50mm 1.8D..some photo samples shot wide open

Bro, your pics look very sharp. What setting/ picture control you use?
Now i am struggling to snap sharp pictures with my D90. Seems like most of my pictures are soft even using 50mm f/1.8 lens.
This never happen when i using my D60 before.
