QUOTE(Eiraku @ Sep 26 2010, 09:41 AM) True. The only main advantage of mass market adoption (aka: "everyone use one") cannot be negated though: there's more of a market for app and accessory makers. That's why there is a Morphie battery case for the Iphones (any gen) and I - on the other hand - have to velcro a USB battery pack to my N900. True, that's why the OS need to be designed to suit EVERY level of users, with default set to BASIC, and allow users to turn on more advance features as they need. It's not JUST the phone, really, it's the ecosystem it lives in. I hope Nokia keeps this in mind for the Meego devices. Not that I find the "walled garden" THAT interesting, but it's the bigger picture, people. Apple WORKS with (okay, some) accessory makers so that fun accessories exist for their phone. Everybody else just waits and hopes that their devices are popular enough for some company to come up with some accessories. Not that I'm gonna get an Iphone 4 in the end, the limitations that it has still kinda pisses me off deep inside. Will prolly just get an Itouch to handle big screen browsing duties until the N9 hits. Unless Nokia sumbat another freakin EDOF cam on the N9. Then I will jumping the ships, finally. Next, why Apple is so famous is particularly the branding; There's no denying and many Malaysians are very brand conscious. Having an iPhone is like having a branded bags, like LV, etc. Many rich or classy people they must use iPhone, it shows their standard/status; If they don't carry one, their rich/classy friends will take out and "FLASH" their iPhone. To these people, RM3K for iPhone is nothing, and they don't really care about the technical functionality, specifications, etc. They care about CLASS/BRAND, simple and straightforward; just like those expensive and classy Nokia phones like 8800 Arte gold which cost so much, but it doesn't have to be a smartphone at all. Similarly, they buy handbags, they care about the popularity/branding/class, etc. They don't care about value for money, is it worth paying for this type of quality bag, whether it really look nice. To tell the truth, if you take a handbag with no brand, they will say ugly/yucks/etc. With the SAME bag, if it's a branded bag, like LV, Prada, etc. Suddenly the whole impression change. This is just like what the video about HTC Evo 4 Vs iPhone4 said about "They can use a brick and call it an iPhone, people will still buy it"... |

The answer cannot be No No because the hardware is there.
Like android i can say No because no front camera. N900 have but just dunno when nokia will update the firmware to allow it or else the front camera is pretty useless |
