Have you remove your email account? Check your email account as some contacts that sync over that email which you might accidentally remove it?
i din touch anything on the phone..it jus disappeared..and i m using a fresh account of windows live with no contacts...i inserted d phone numbers one by one into d phone..lol.. sad T,T

u should key in ya contact 1 by 1 to ya main live account contact list and sync those contacts to your phone.
I believe u have sync ya contacts with live acc with ya phone which resulted update ya phone contacts list with blank contacts list from ya live acc.

i believe before you add your live id, your phones contact still there but once you add / link your live id to your phone all contact from phone will be overwritten by live (empty contacts).
try whenever you can remove the live id from your phone?? is the fresh live id primary or secondary?? if primary then you wont be able to remove unless you factory reset. if secondary you can remove it.
for me i have
#1primary hotmail id 50% of my contact was from my earlier WinMo which ive sycn it over outlook then import to live.
#2secondary Gmail 50% of my contact was from my android.
now i merge all my winmo and android contact into HD7. if you have any duplicate contact in between these two id, WP7 have link option for these dup contacts.
new contact can be add and link to either #1 or #2 account, any contact that add to #2 will be sync and link to gmail but once you remove #2gmail account from your device all contact that added to #2 will be remove as well from your device. again, when you re-signing back the #2 gmail id all present contact from #2gmail will sync back to your device.
this is what i like about WP7 contact management very easy and safe no worrying bout contact lost as it will always sync over our live id or gmail.
oh wait..i kind undrstand wat u said...but i just have one windows live id since day one and never created any other account since...can i still recover d contacts?
haha..opps..i've been editing for so long...well i got my contacts back..but i had to reset my phone..all the apps gone T,T

i'm just afraid i can't get along with it... 'cause i'm a android user...
android user if you love to tweak root customize then WP7 is not your options yet, unless you opt to left android and adpot to WP7 platform which is still new and lack of usefull function thats might disappoint you, ex. Missing WIFI Hotspost tethering ... BlueTooth file transfering... etc try google for WP7 Cons. try borrow friends or try out at any counter side by side then you will know what you need.

oh~ then i recommended you try HTC HD7 instead Mozart as HD7 got more memory. just stay away from samsung. LG good with hardware button instead touch navigation. well, i use my HD7 to suft net, do all the online transaction rather than using my lappy tethering with my Android's WIFI Hotspot. WP7 Browsing speed is way more smoother than droids.

updated the firmware it works flawlessly, but about the deathgrip on HD7 (from 3 bar to 0bar), anyone have solutions? ONLY FOR 3G users, my BB+iPhone 4 also did not have that massive signal drop while holding on the deathgrip

guys... just need your opinion... i bought HD7 last week... i love all the functionalities... but to my disappointments... the volume quality of incoming call is very bad... can hardly hear caller voice... alarm & phone ringing also below acceptable quality...
later i check the phone info... i found out that the memory is only 8GB instead of 16GB...
do you experienced the same sound quality with your set or this problem only related to the 8GB set?
anyway... i've returned the phone to the shop already and get myself an iPoo4... everything ok with iPoo... but i don't like it... still miss the WP7 interface

not many shop have WP7 knwoledge but there is fews thing u might need to know bout NoDo although its has improve some feature but once you are update to NoDo you wont be able to JailBreak. (the only way is Flash Back to earlier version of OS) Also getting a NoDo update is kindda tricky you must link to Zune in order to get NoDo update this you can do it yourself later.
March 2011 - NoDo Update OS version: 7.0.7390.0*

• Copy & paste. You asked for it—now it's here. Just tap a word and drag the arrows to copy and paste it on your phone. You can copy text from emails, text messages, web pages, and Office Mobile documents, and paste it anywhere you can type. To learn more, see Copy & paste.
• Faster apps and games. Nobody likes to wait. That's why we've whittled down the time it takes for apps and games to start up and resume. It's all part of our focus on getting you to the things you love, easier and faster.
• Better Marketplace search. We've streamlined Marketplace search to make it easier to find specific apps, games, or music. Press the Search button in the Apps or Games section of Marketplace and you'll see only apps or games in the results. Press Search in the Music section of Marketplace to search just the music catalog.
• Other Marketplace improvements. We've improved the stability of Marketplace while you download apps. We've also improved the experience of downloading apps larger than 20 megabytes, upgrading from trial apps to paid apps, sharing links to apps via email, sorting Xbox LIVE games by release date, and creating an Xbox LIVE account from within the Games Hub.
• Wi-Fi improvements. We now display your phone's Media Access Control (MAC) address in Settings. (You might need this info if you try to connect to a Wi-Fi network that uses MAC address filtering. To learn more, see Connect to a Wi-Fi network.) We've also removed the limit on the number of Wi-Fi profiles that you can store and reduced the time it takes to start your phone if you've stored lots of Wi-Fi profiles.
• Outlook improvements. We've improved the experience of viewing iPhone photo attachments you receive from a non-Exchange-based email account (such as a Google Mail, Hotmail, or Yahoo! Mail account), using the Global Address List (GAL) when connecting to Exchange Server 2003 using Exchange ActiveSync, and working with email display names that contain brackets (for example, "David Alexander [Contoso]").
• Facebook integration. We've improved the experience of syncing Facebook accounts.
• Camera improvements. We've improved the stability of switching between camera and video modes.
• Audio improvements. We've improved the experience of using a Bluetooth headset to make calls when you're playing music or videos.
• Other performance improvements. This month's update also includes software from several phone manufacturers that improves the performance of specific models. Naturally, if you don't have one of the affected models, we won't install this portion of the update on your phone.
Upcoming WindowsPhone Update code name Mango built-in Internet Explorer 9 demonstration. Background Web Audio playback, HTML5 Video play, and HTML5 animation performance comparison.
With NoDo Update we can now add our local Credit Card using foreign address to made purchase on Microsoft Live Games. i never try using CC as my HD7 is unlock with sideload for now.
Ya paiseh....saw ady.... By the way 7.0.7390.0 firmware causing a lot of signal drops from my carrier, 7008.0 doesn't seem to have this issues though, anyone can clarify this?
BTW, Maxis 3G users, do your phone face any drops in signal while in 3g mode? meaning when using antennagate method it will drop signals
2G mode i don't think anyone is affected somehow, mine just worked fine in 2G...
EDIT : Applied iDefense Pro Carbon =)....it looks sexay on HD7!
