Added on December 1, 2010, 1:36 pmI would suggest having a top level general Windows Phone 7 thread, as well as the usual device specific threads?

Yes, Massive update coming up for Windows Phone 7. It makes sense because Microsoft knowingly released the current batch of WP7 with so many limitations which they already plan to update via Zune/Marketplace and I am absolutely positive this will change the WP7 phone experience quite a lot

No one has officially confirmed the MASSIVE update that's coming, so try not to be too disappointed if it doesn't meet ur expectations.

Only got this once so far, you're seeing it alot? Recently? On what Telco? |

I'm on maxis, not quite often, but I got this 3 times already ever since I was using it...i think it might have been the connectivity problem...the battery is draining like 25% in an hour

As for Chevron, its already been pulled. It should be safe but MS did give the usual do it on your own risk warning. This post has been edited by marauderz: Dec 4 2010, 07:37 PM |

It's saying that unlocking or phone will cause to the voiding of the warranty, but we can always reset our phone when the warranty is needed, can't we? And is this unlocking only for customizing the ringtone or we can actually sideload the third party apps?

If you're using the Chevron tool then you can unload to sideload homebrew apps.

I hate to say it out but seriously, I'm quite regretting buying this phone...lack of apps and not attracting at all... the functions on the phone are so much worse compared to the other smartphones say the iphone4 and even BlackBerry...i mean how could a smartphone doesn't have multitask, I'm so tired of keep on loading back the apps that i was using when i accidentally press the home button...no custom ringtone, not even turn to turn GPS navigation...and the Facebook, it's so laggy and not complete I'd say...and no instant chatting apps like whatsapp...i wish I had gone for iphone4...i'm certainly not a fan of any smartphones, in fact this is my first ever smartphone, should have done some researches before i go for it...

yjackh : if you can, give it until February cause the 1st update is coming in January supposedly n there might be some goodies in there. To enable turn by turn on maps check out my FAQ, though its only a little help. And the lag u see in the Facebook app could very well be contributed by the slow disk speeds of the hd7.
Kikokiko : performance wise, try n compare between hd7 n LG first. For some nagging issues that u might want to be aware of before buying. Check my FAQ . |

Kindda agree with yjackh, even my HD2 can do more than this, not much can explore on HD7 for now hopefully like marauderz mention a massive update will improve the functionality of this 2k plus devices.

I just did a side by side test of my friends hd7 and my LG optimus 7, all the slow lagginess updating of the twitter and Facebook apps are not on the optimus. So... There you have it. hd7 loading is a tad bit slow
