Hi, i'm thinking to put a layer of dark tint(8 to 10 inches) on the windscreen because the steering part is exposed to the sun light and i feel heat on my hand while driving under the sun. but in another hand i like the full view of the windscreen, i can see tall building sign easily(when looking/searching for landmarks), so i'm in doubt what sizes of the layer is suitable? my friend recommended me 10 inches.

Second thing, my car aircond started to have smell when first turn on the aircond.. (my car just 5K mileage), does it mean it's time to change aircond filter?

if i'm not mistaken you only allowed to have 7" right?

check ur aircond filter first..maybe some insects died on the filter, wild guess

It is started, one day i park my car at the mud area and I forgot to turn back on the inner circulation as i turn off b4 hand. Then it rains, then off work i get into my car i could smell mud

is ur windscreen having a good tint ? that's the first question if it does , ur hands won't feel hot cause the tint will reflect heat away even without the 7' ..
if merely putting the 7' black tint without a good tint , it just help to reflect a little heat and decreased harsh sunlight from blinding u when u drive .
I have mine tinted with a IRR80++ for the windscreen and a 7' black tint , my hand's felt nothing hot

ya... i also wonder do your windscreen have any tint at all... even my lousy tint IRR68% also i dont feel tat hot...can still grab it right away and drive off....
i think the sun visor (black tint) serve more to filter away the harsh sunlight like said... (VLT doesnt exactly correlate directly to IRR)

yes, my windscreen is tinted with good reputable tint (VLT=63% UVR=99% IRR=95%)

yes , the black dark 7' tint but i think it doesn't has any used except dark

wow.... so good already also feel hot meh? isnt till the stege .. u cant hold ur steering wheel i guess? perhaps our definition of hot is different.... or maybe my skin is thick ..hahaha

I can say every sc will charge you different item even the service interval is same with others. it very much depends on your car condition.
you always can refer to your service booklet to double check what's the item that you need to change during that interval and remember what you had been change during last service.

i believe most of us leave it on ...all the time... in internal circulation mode......else u will always smell something...hehehe

yes normally we turn in on all the time. Why did I turn it off because the air cond is too cold in the early morning while i'm waiting the car park to open.

Why don't I turn off the engine? Then it will be too warm
Why don't I wind down the window? It is very dark in the morning, and i do not feel safe.
Why don't I adjust the air cond ventilation direction? Already adjusted, but still cold..
