Make noise? What kind of noise? I guess he/she wants your attention, but don't always layan else will be a habit, then he/she taught I make noise than I get whatever I want and will continue. Or do you mean barking? If you're caging, maybe he/she don't like that's why make lots of noise and not use to the new environment.

Normally I bath her the day before on that day tself before I send her for jab. Then 6-7 days can bath her again. Just like the usual routine of bathing her once a week. Just that you cannot bring her out until the last jab.

you mean keep whole day at the garden or just let her play at the garden for a short time?
dun keep her at the garden for whole day because some people will steel your puppy. poodle is a inside house doggie so better stay at home and just let her walk at the garden under your acknowledgement..

most puppy will make noise when they come to new enviroment..maybe they feel lonely and want ppl to play with them..
at first few day they will "cry" but after they used to it, maybe they won't make any noise.

ya agree with suzanne..dun always layan your dog when she make noise and dun bring her go out until her 3rd jab..

i've opened a facebook account for my girl..plz add her.. biggrin.gif

I don't mean to sound rude but kellvin have you done any research about owning a dog before picking up your puppy?
A lot of the questions you are asking are very very basic things that are repeated about a million times on the internet.

None the less, i have a complete 'puppy guide' floating around my laptop somewhere, i will pm it to you, please read it smile.gif

First is your garden filled with grass? If yes, better not due to flea and ticks and she's still very young, not advisable to put frontline on her so soon also tick fever is very serious as she's still so young. If normal ground you really want to let her play around just keep an eye on her, like the above mentioned, people will steal. Also, if there's any dog/stray dogs near your neighbourhood or so if they're in contact the disease will spread. Just keep her in the house for another 2-3 mths if can, that won't be so hard right?

Poodle is the type which is very active, that can't be helped at all whether you let her out or what, get some toys for her? A ball to play fetch perhaps, chew toys? Kongs to keep her occupied? She make noise just ignore and let her be. They'll eventually learn that somethings don't work by whining.

I would say depends, what food did u feed her, answer is yes they do poop within the hour or sometimes may not but they should do at least one day once. Did she drink enough water?

That is something you need to train her out of. If she is prone to play with the drinking bottle instead of drink from it, set her up with a bowl instead.

Or watch her and divert the chewing to a chew toy instead and praise her when she drinks. Although some of my dogs drink in strange ways. My Papillon girl often looks like she is chewing the end of the bottle attachment. What she is actually doing is holding it with her mouth and pushing down the stopper ball to let water trickle down her throat instead of having to lick it constantly to get water biggrin.gif.

my poodle also play with her water dispenser when she was young..she push the stopper ball ,let the floor wet and play with the water on the floor..but now she know that is not for playing..

when my poodle started to play she will forget to drink(or can say lazy to drink coz water bottle is only at living room) so, i put another water bowl at my kitchen to make sure she drinks..and it works..haha..

kellvin: make sure your water is not tap water..at least you need to filter the water before give it to your pup..

@kellvin - what brand is the shampoo. Also are you sure you washed it all out properly (poodle coats can retain shampoo like crazy. Also what kind of odor do you mean, is it sour/musky can you describe it?.

@Kelvenwai -Genia is very cute but i'm sorry, "teacups" make me shudder. I find it slightly immoral to breed dogs to such a small size that their organs are barely able to support them and they are so prone to disease and illness. If a "teacup" is produced due to being the 'runt' of a normal litter, then of course it is necessary to try and give them as much of a normal life as possible but to purposely create such a fragile life simply for the 'cute' or convenient factor to be frank makes me feel a little sick.
sorry, i am trying very hard not to make this seem like i am attacking you personally. I'm sure you are a very responsible owner who takes great care of their dogs, i put this information up more to ward off inexperienced owners who would buy a "teacup" and not care for it properly (which is bad enough with a normal sized dog, but for something so fragile... eek... i'm thinking of suzannetan's neighbor discussed a couple of pages back and the like).

Try Pet Esthe series, they're one of the best selling. I heard Yu and bubble bath is filled with chemicals that kept the scent for one long week.
I heard the Pet Esthe Mud ones are pretty good, I want to upkeep my poodle's colour so I use the Brown colour shampoo.

If the scent is long lasting meaning the chemical is very heavy, bad for the skin. I put perfume also gone in few hours, LOL.

I wouldn't recommend using a strongly perfumed (or long lasting perfumed) shampoo as it dries out the coat and damages the skin.
but if you use a good shampoo most of the time it shouldn't cause problems.

I agree that all brown specific shampoos smell really bad sad.gif . I use a perfume after the shower to cover up the smell biggrin.gif. The Percell one is REALLY good, works great on boys and girls.

I heard Pet Esthe is really good, but haven't been able to find the supplier for it as yet. Can you give me an idea of the price?
I use Chris Christensen range for pretty much everything as that is what i was taught with in school and i find it to work well for pretty much everything, but it is hard to get hold of and there are plenty of other decent shampoos out there.
As an extra thought... has anyone ever tried the Avoderm shampoo?
