i received this today, it disguised as Public bank, note the typo 'thorugh' and the grammar "Dear customers, Please update your account thorugh Pbebank Internet Banking. 19/9/06 will be a maintaince and closed all non update customers." when i click on the links, it directs me to hxxp://www.archev.net/dotproject/classes/index.html (fraudulent site!!!)

Does anyone uses Bank Simpanan National? It doesn't seem to be listed in the first page. I just got my new Matrix ATM card and it has this "Visa Electron" logo on it. I read somewhere that if your card has this logo, you can use it to buy stuffs from foreign sites. Eh? I wanna buy CDs...

Usually banks won't communicate sensitive matters using emails.

Phone is YES and it's more preferable. Some of the calls are recorded or encrypted too.

It's the other way round. For instance, you failed to login into Internet banking and you definitely need to call the bank customer careline to resolve this. They may ask several questions regarding yourself for verification purpose before they reset your password.

Just pay a visit once ... and it'll ready forever.  If you're not going to any of "3rd party funds transfer, IBG & FPX", then you can deal it later when you have time to do so.
