Any PCI cards are less useful now, as the onboard sound chip beat them all mostly. PCI network cards are replace by onboard too. I dont need to spend a cent on it.

It is the ODD drive that matters. I got like 4 IDE ODD drive end up have to use USB now. Not that I would bother but having to use as external drive sucks. It just means u have buy external IDE to USB cable or buy the SATA/IDE converter.

i've already jumped into the bulldozer bandwagon and got myself a sabertooth 990fx
havent build it into my rig yet but im still using my phenom ii X2 550 BE

can it be unlocked via SB950?
im just keeping the phenom ii till phenom FX comes out
it'll be a legend in continuance since my other rig is still using AMD Athlon FX-60

I don't see the merit of unlocking the CPU now when it is just a bench warmer for the Bulldozer. If there is unlocking capabilities on the motherboard the manufacturer will usually show it on the description page as feature that is a selling point but there is none so most likely it will not unlock.

like i said im just waiting for the phenom fx
i unlocked the cores with my previous board but performance increase was lukewarm (even with 8gb ddr2)

the unlock by "south brigde XXX " is dead after 7series..
as not the SB that do the unlocking.. the code in the bios did..

iinm the MSI 990fx gd65 have the unlocking features..but havent try it out yet as im not using unlockable proc..

i think phenom fx not zambesi base cpu.
performance increase, have to see what application you use.

IMHO Intel is the underdog with IGP as AMD acquired ATI. Anyhow, if a full machine can be built at around RM1k, it'd make a good HTPC.
