You're not the first and last person to go for a kill during Boxing Day. Chances are half of London on that day itself will be camping on high streets. Also, last year my friend Q for two hours just to check out her items. That's how crazy it is.

Hi guys,
I would like to ask something about scholarships to study in the UK. Actually I googled and found some scholarships offered by the British Council, Commonwealth etc. But I just wish to know more. I'm still a secondary school student so might as well plan to study in the UK with scholarship. May I know is there any company which provide students to study degree abroad? Should I study A levels local or over there in the UK? Thanks to all the seniors |

Why waste so much money go and pursue A-levels in the UK well unless your family is super rich and doing so won't put much noticeable dent in your family's saving accounts and pockets. QUOTE(sebsebsebas @ Oct 26 2010, 11:19 AM) Hi guys, in Malaysia, it really depends on what your race is or what your parents do. The most generous are MARA (90% Melay) , Petronas or Shell. I would like to ask something about scholarships to study in the UK. Actually I googled and found some scholarships offered by the British Council, Commonwealth etc. But I just wish to know more. With a capped salary of 3-5k. if your parents don't work for either company, and you're not Melay .. then I would suggest applying to Singaporean Scholarships. Sad to say, but they sponsor half the Malaysians at Cambridge & Oxford |

It's like here in Malaysia locals only pay a fraction of the real cost while the rest is subsidized by the government if you were to study in an IPTA. International Students are already paying full fees in UK Universities without any subsidies. Though this move might cause the Universities there to increase the full fees as well to make up for their loss as less students might enroll, these would affect especially those lower ranked unis more since I read in one of their websites poll that locals there are less willing to pay more for ex polytechnic unis though unlikely to increase so much since they still need a competitive price to attract students to their uni. |
