any1 tried studying in Kaplan for professional courses?

planning to study there but still thinking on which place to go to. London/Birmingham/Manchester/Liverpool/Newcastle ?

any recommendations ?

newbie here, no close frens in UK :S
Its ok, I came uk all by myself. Haha. I would suggest u choose ur uni based on wat u wanna study and if the uni 'strong' in that specific field/area.
Its not actually like a university ba. Its a tuition provider only. and it has campuses on few locations as mentioned. so still pondering where to go.

Hence I choosed a university that excelled more in ranking than what my department actually ranked. Good university experience is important. tongue.gif

if you confirmed everything, just book a flight yourself.

Like for my case, i got my visa approved in the very last minute. I book the ticket myself, im taking Qantas to london rather than

using following other students by using MAS. But luckily i got it cheaper around rm500 compared to others.

Bills , depends

for mine, considered as town, not city.

I'm living in hostel, 106pound per week (bloody exp but all included)

my friend 70-80 pounds / week (some got include utilities some not, bill may be different as you will use heater during these days and still depends on how many ppl sharing a whole unit )

meals, if you're cooking .. it wont be expensive, each meal may cost around 1pounds + , but bear in mind, the first month will be exp for buying rice, cutleries, utensils, seasoning etc.

But if eat outside, it may cost roughly 5 pounds and above per meal (include drinks)

and u will need some other things such as long john, autumn and winter clothing. Not so expensive if you buy in primark

Primark focus more on cheap price rather than quality

I only bought clothing to wear in room from primark :/

try H&M for better quality but still lower prices smile.gif
