iam one of using m880, nice and powerfull player, can play all the format what u get from net..
waiting for new version of this model,can play hdma and true hd..

true hd 1073 canot play.
later update for firmware for all series included M880.
M880 actaully got 八宝网，but not sure why they no included in X6 and M6

we have QQ group,have eaget technicion join us, what we know from them is, latest verson of m880 can be play truehd and hdma...
still use 1073 chip set..

Eaget X5 no networking support. it only can play full hd video like mkv, rmvb (using box f10 chipset), if u looking for more advance feature, u can go for eaget M6 and M8 since got promotion price for both model.

more internet streaming program will added into M6 and M8 soon.

for BT download , not recommend you use this kind 3rd party player, u will find out your BT download speed will lower than we using our PC.

Thank you. I'm still learning bout this.So, if i download to my pc/ext hard drive then plug to Eaget M5, it wont be good enough. This will be my first media player LOLOLOL (dont laugh at me) so i dont wanna buy something i'll have to sell in a few days. I will only download movies that wont take more than 24 hours to D/L ith my 1.0mbps connection.

but it cannot download.
3rd party doing BT very slow. and our country ISP block BT activities recently very strict

M6 is 1073DD, which is I think the current Realtek SDK+ doesn't support DTS-MA passthrough yet.

M8 is 1283, which according to Xstreamer, still waiting for the next firmware to support TrueHD passthrough....

but eaget can play hiden folders still.

the quality is very good,the price also resonable,plus got free hdmi cable also,

but one problem only,
the player cannot play the compressed MKV file,means now days the forumer like to compressed the MKV file to 300mb or below,
it is just the problem i am facing,

this is weird, it works like charm for me,


I have prob with the subtitle, when played big .mkv file with .srt subs,
It always shown like not enough space to display, like the subtitle been cut half.
especially that have long conversation in 1 frame
Is this normal to everyone or only mine that have this problem?

this bug not yet fixed. they will have new enginers team focus on solve these bugs soon and come out firmware soon and frequently.

as i know X5 cannot adjust the subtitle size, perhaps they will have firmware to improve it.

Hi, I got M8. Can record from DTV ie RTM1 and RTM2. Can record Astro too ie via the A/V input. It records in mpeg not avi.

But You tube is not wkg.. Anyone can help here ?

Hi, i was the guy who came with an old man last Friday served by Yoong. We bought 2 unit of M6.

The player is considerable good but the interface is not user friendly enough. We hope that some interface particulars could be improved.

eg. Displaying more lines of contents instead of 6 lines. BD menus capable.

yes. we find out the currenct UI is not user friendly like previous X6 one (same as ac ryan). we will feedback to eaget so get back that kind of interface.
most important need to improve is the firmware to add/remove the IMS program and solve some MP4 and avi canot play.

When I got into this situation, I will use mkvmerge to redo the file again.
I tried 3 different files and all 3 works after that.

i find out NTV7 and 8TV Canot get using this M8.
M8 DVB-T can get Digital Channel -TV1, TV2 right
anyone tested for singapore channel in JB ?

DVB-T trials is only from RTM, hence no TV3&Co. Lately, I detected crackling sound on the DVB-T audio. Has anyone else hv similar experiences?

i bought x5 about 2 weeks back
the player is good

2 issues i encountered
1. the remote control is not responsive. i have to press 2 or 3 times a particular button before it transmit signal. i have copied the remote into my philips universal remote control and have no problem at all in using it. hence the original remote has issues. call the shop but was told cannot replace unless it's not working at all.
2. once in a while, the audio is missing. i have to reset to default to have the audio back. hope latest firmware will fix it.

don't think its about the movies.
the problem happens (no audio) even before watching movies i.e. when i started moving between menu selection there is no "click" sound.
after selecting movie, no audio. then i know i have to reset back to default. the only thing i changed from default is to switch to english language.

you can send to my office with the player and remote control and test at my office LCD.

new M880 now support DTS-HD and DolbyTrueHD...

i'm using M8 just now...using WD 3.5" 1TB as internal hdd(HDD 2<--dunno why no. 2 not 1)...can play movie and content from the hdd...but the problem is...why can not using for recording astro???(all the record setting already set using hdd memory)but if using USB (external harddisk) no problem for recording...anyone can help me...why can not using internal hdd memory for recording even i've set to use it?Thanx...

What is the price for the M880II in Malaysia? And this model confirm can digital passthru the Dolby Thru HD, DTS MA, DTS HR...? I only know that Sigma chipset support all these HD audio formats.

M890 - same with M8 - 1283 chipset. canot play those.
M880 II will carry in, but not at the moment. we need to wait them come out more firmware to improve the previous Eaget player first.

-upgrade firmware to v4.09 still same (4.09_hdd_12LAN).
-actually ur 2nd firmware is v4.01 not v4.0

i've been reading 4 pages of this thread and few more in the garage sales but still i dun understand Eaget...there seem to be so many different models and still no confirmation of HD audio (TrueHD & DTS-MA) passthrough capability..

if ur requirement is for true hd and dts-ma, then u only can get 1073DD C+ chipset (M880 II) which not yet available at the moment.
and the price wil be around RM350-390. not yet calculate the cost to malaysia.
Realtek 1283 and 1073 not much different in video quality.

the Eaget X6 i not sure ur player is using old bios or latest one. old bios canot boot after u flash with latest firmware, if u have this problem then send to my office, i flash the bios for u.
if u can flash with 4.09 firmware means ur player aready with new bios. no problem with future upgrade.
just copy the install.img into the pendrive (2gb or below) and system->system upgrade.
the extention use back the old one, i not sure this eaget x6 same with eagetm6 will copy the extention package into hdd after format new hdd or nto.
it will erase ur BT list if u still got BT downloading in thcan e list.

for eaget X6 and M6 u can try

no any cracked IMS software included in official firmware. if u stay at KL/selangor area u can bring ur player to my office so my technician can flash 3rd party firmware for u. or u can send to my office via courier and put RM8 in the parcel and we will flash and return to u. i will update at first post for the software include for the 3rd party firmware. no more youtube, but got other software (in chinese) can online streaming.

I am writting to seek your expert advice. I have the eaget X6 player this april from Shanghai. It has beeen working fine until yesterday. The player could not play RMBV or any files anymore. When I go into the folder, it just hanged there, not even the preview screen, the internet is not working as well. I suspect is the firmware corrupted. So I downloaded the 4.01 and 3.02 firmware and try. This time, the internet 'youku' is working, but my download shows/movies which are inside my HD is not working at all.
I tried to play those shows in my computer. They are working fine. I am confirm that it has to do with my X6 player. I am not sure if you're able to advice me on my current situation?

I am current in China, Dalian. The local electrical shop do not have any experience on this type of player at all.
My current firmware is 3.02. Thanks in advice.

ur firmware is too old, using old bios somemore. we got latest bios and can flash with latest firmware which is 4.09 but without more internet streaming software.

but you can contact the Eaget and send ur unit to them for repair, if u have QQ then u can PM me in personal, i give u their technician QQ contact.

that cable is to sellers/ distributor to recover the player from wrong firmware, can flash bios and firmware.
the 3rd party firmware CANNOT flash via thumbdrive, it will stop response from the eaget startup screen.
I had post the picture for the software, refer to first post. after u flash to this firmware, u can flash back to official firmware.
If u want, u only can send to me to flash. but need show the fotostate receipt of purchase from us to get Free Of Charge !

i test with my office 1M no problem.
some like youku has problem with ISP in malaysia, abit lagging when playing online, some software need wait a while when buffering then non lagging in the playing movies.

curious about ur BT , how many kb u running with streamyx ?

I cannot read/open all the files (shows 'RMBV', MP3) that previously used to be ok.
Last night, I tried flashing with 4.01, 4.09, and the 3rd party firmware that you posted. But success only with 4.01. This time I tried to copied one RMBV show to my thumb drive and opened with the TB. To my surprise, it worked. But why the player cannot open those files inside my HD? Thank you
