youtube and PPS canot play at the moment. the Eaget send me this firmware without testing before they go for CNY holidays. we will ask them to check on this again after CNY holidays.

Hi there, I realized Eaget M9 stop my torrent download by itself, when i visit it's torrent page, I cannot see anything. It required me to reboot M9 to see my task, and after awhile, my task disappear from the page again, so and again, i need to reboot... *keep on repeating...

yes. M9 BT got problem. this is first batch of firmware, the Eaget will come out the stable firmware after CNY

Zhen Wei, I also realized another problem with M9 that's the ethernet file transfer run VERY slow, it's only about 5mb/s. Please let the manufacturer know as well. btw, is there any ftp/telnet/ssh daemon running on the unit? if possible, ask the manufacturer to include it.. TQ very much.

limitation of hardware. canot do as well as Eaget M7 , M8 realtek player

I think when you copy to another network PC will get same speed right

BT download seems to be problem, it cannot see my HDD1, thus cannot allow me to add torrent file, like attached. Tested with IE, Safari, Firefox still the same.

dont worry. i will follow up this. actually the PPS firmware they make special for us. just they no test properly and now they in holiday. perhaps after CNY holidays they will solve it. Eaget M7 and M9 use linux system. tat's why can use PPS.

do u format ur hardisk usnig eaget ? can format it by go to Setup > System, Format

Seems that M9 really got a lot problem... my M7 is working fine...

My M7 BT also always stop by itself. Can't see anything after a while...

For BT , please wait after CNY for the stable firmware.
the Eaget M7 and M9 is newly launched by this month.

To play YouTube, you must update the firmware Zhen Wei provided, then go to IMS/IMS/HAOIMS/海外视频 or something similar, then look for YouTube, this one can play.

let me know if any bugs when playing movie and IMS. so we can feedback to Eaget to do the best

M6 with latest firmware still got above problem.. some times need to go to setup then off bt and on back, only can see the progress.

I see if I can create a custom firmware for M7 but need bro Zhen wei support in case my M7 bricked.

Added on January 28, 2011, 2:48 amUpdating firmware need not have 2GB or below USB flash drive. The limit was imposed on old linux boot loader able to address partition up to 2GB.

Thus, if you want to upgrade your player and do not have 2GB or below USB flash driver, you can partition a 2GB FAT32 partition, this must be the first partition, and make sure to partition with MBR (for Mac users, this can be done via Disk Utility).

Copy install.img on the newly created 2GB partition on your USB flash or USB hard drive, then perform system upgrade as Zhen Wei mentioned.

I did mine on 2GB FAT32 partition on my external USB HD.

YES. M6 BT we know still got issue. i think original M6 firmware no problem.


Eaget M7 actually got few firmware available. will try to upload to server and let u all testing.
if u can create custom firmware for us and tweak it can support PPS in local i am willing to give you free gift as well

Can try. will try to fix YouTube and PPS. Anyway, can get the Realtek SDK4 and remote key mapping for M7? If can, may be able to build Casablanca UI too.

I just bought eaget m9 yesterday. I tried to play my tv series which is in avi format. But. I cannot play. It prompt unknown start code. Wasn't it suppose to support avi file?
