last time, i also get the same result as u'rs. what i do is i reflash again with the latest firmware based on the instruction give.
1) turn off the player. switch off at the back of the player. then plug u'r usb drive (with firmware inside)
2) hold the power button (without power on back switch, hold it. do not release)
3) switch on the power switch at the back of the player (ur other hand still push the front power button)
4)hold about 5 - 10 second.
5)then release the power button.
6)then u can see  that the player will automatically upgrade the firmware. wait until successful.
7)player will change to Chinese language. change back to English.
8)then try again go to ims. walla
