Liverpool's financial troubles could come to a head
QUOTE A fire sale of players in the January transfer window cannot be ruled out. Hmm..the situation is becoming worse and worse.. but can I know why every time any bad news of Liverpool in Soccernet is sure to be reported by that Harry Harris? Just looking at the 'By Harry Harris, Football Correspondent' you would expect something bad to come up.. |

Spearing is even better than Lucas imo...
RH should give more chances to Spearing as he is our local lad n he will become the next Gerrard one day... |

Just looking at the 'By Harry Harris, Football Correspondent' you would expect something bad to come up.. i am holding my breath....hoping that someone out there...a wise/savvy/sensible business man who loves the club is quietly strategising...just waiting for the right time to buy the club and transform it....... hope G and H will relent control.... |

But if I were a Liverpool fan, I'd be quietly confident that the worst won't be allowed to happen to Liverpool FC.Hmm..the situation is becoming worse and worse.. but can I know why every time any bad news of Liverpool in Soccernet is sure to be reported by that Harry Harris? Michael carrick is probably the closest xabi 'clone' out there. but xabi is waaaaay better anyway.
parker is more Masch than Xabi. it's kinda sad that we had one of the best midfield in the history just over 15 months ago (Alonso - Mascherano - Gerrard).. oh well.. i still believe Raul will be a massive player for us. not too sure about Poulsen, but i've never been a fan of Lucas. hopefully we'll have Aquilani back by next summer. Meireles - Aquilani - Gerrard axis looks promising.. although it's very unlikely to happen. |

If I were to compare somebody to Alonso, it'd be Xavi Hernandez from Barcelona, a player who is a true playmaker plus he has the composure to dribble past slower defenders and skills to prevent the ball from being tackled easily.
Okay, not exactly Alonso's way of playing as he doesn't really play long lob through passes from deep but his accuracy in passing is just hard to ignore. He doesn't score much which makes it different from Alonso as he is no where as ambitious as Xabi, perhaps also due to the fact that he has Messi, Villa, Pedro as well as Iniesta to complete that for him. If you are talking about somebody who bosses the midfield, Xavi Hernandez is the man. |

glenny-Carra-Skrtel-Konchesky Maxi/Pacheco----Gerrard-------Jova/Babel Cole-----Meireles Torres This could be the best line-up to face Manyur.... |

QUOTE(digilife @ Sep 17 2010, 09:59 PM) now this WIN gives you guys and the Team some confidence rite? we won last season too but we ended up out of top 4. juz wait for our WIN against MU, then u guys will start to praise how good RH and his new signings are and it will keep us in the Top 5 again winning at OT would be nice but i rather hold my cheers. it wont prove we are 'better' (maybe 1 match for some guys) call me a pessimistic but 1 game wont define us. its consistency that eluded us & there havent been positive signs things are about to change so soon. One win may serve to be a more booster but nothing more. I think fans these days are a little short sighted. There are bigger issues to consider than getting one over the mancs. Means nothing to beat them but lose to everyone else. Think long term, that is if you're in it for the long haul.
Added on September 18, 2010, 12:43 pmPraise Hodgson after just one game? Dude I won't praise him nor will I condemn him after just a few games. That trait is reserved for fair-weather fans who have little understanding of the game, and I'm not referring to the boys kicking the ball on the pitch, I'm referring to the fan who looks beyond what they see on the tv. If anything Liverpool fans are amongst the most patient and easy to please. You don't have to be great, you just need to show that you work your socks off. Too many of today's fans forget that. Too many sing praises of a player only to criticize him when he's had one bad game. Too many just as quickly turn around and praise him again after a good game. These are self serving fans who wants everyone to play well each game just so he feels good. This post has been edited by Duke Red: Sep 18 2010, 12:43 PM |
