deary me it's just so awful to watch us this season so far. even last season, where we were pretty much ridiculous the whole season, we did play some good football at Anfield. nowadays tour football bores me to death.

i'm not against Roy. but he has been terribly boring so far. isn't he supposed to start a new 'fresh' era for us. i still see Lucas there, i still see 2 holding players, i still see the club's best centreback at leftback. i still see Babel on bench, we're still poor on away games.

His treatment of Aquilani, pretty much the only midfielder with any sort of creativity angers me. Ok maybe he's fragile but he's a real talent. people who have watched his performance during april last season would probably agree with me. Joe Cole.. well.. he's just as prone to injuries as Aqua. From what i heard Roy promised to play Cole on hole.. so basically he doesn't play the club's best player in best position which earned him two player of the year awards.

Roy has also given some bizarre interviews like "we won't win the title "(although many liverpool fans would agree with this, but the manager is the last person i'd expect to speak like this). not too disappointed with the draw at Birmingham.. let me repeat. freakin Birmingham. talking about motivating players for the next match (well... against man utd)

Sorry for my rant and i know it's still very early to judge Roy. but so far he's been hugely underwhelming. we really should have gone for Manuel Pellegrini who was available and atleast plays good football (compare real last season and mourinho's real this season)... oh well.

Good Luck Roy.

Michael carrick is probably the closest xabi 'clone' out there. but xabi is waaaaay better anyway.

parker is more Masch than Xabi.

it's kinda sad that we had one of the best midfield in the history just over 15 months ago (Alonso - Mascherano - Gerrard).. oh well.. i still believe Raul will be a massive player for us. not too sure about Poulsen, but i've never been a fan of Lucas. hopefully we'll have Aquilani back by next summer.

Meireles - Aquilani - Gerrard axis looks promising.. although it's very unlikely to happen.

Fergie has said Rafa is the one to blame for Liverpool's downfall .. lol

And Roy has said Fergie is a good friend and plays down the rivalry. maybe he won't be disappointed even if we lose the match tomorrow (just like it was last week at St.Andrews)

hopefully we'll see Raul tomorrow. he's basically an Aquilani without injury worries. he's someone who can make us look good, i believe.

we just played 4 games n we still have long way to go..
i believe we can catch up n become title contender this season..

are you serious bro?

our 'manager' himself has came out and said we won't be challenging for the title this season. That's the spirit i'd love to see from a British Manager.

would've preferred Agger. but that's a solid line-up.

Poulsen was really good.

Other than that, we were dreadful.

ya i don't know Babel isn't playing. atleast he was getting 1 or 2 minutes under Rafa.

i'm just going to look at the positives. losing to them is always hard to take.

(+) - Meireles' passing, Poulsen in general, Gerrard finally scored, Torres looked motivated in 2nd half, Agger's response to the future grammy winner Nani.

(-) - Very negative, No Pace in flanks, no support to attack, poor aerial defending.

Next game at Anfield, hopefully Roy can sort the mess by then.

Sure. Here it is.

QUOTE
Daniel Agger has admitted that he is frustrated by Roy Hodgson’s style of play at Liverpool.

The attack-minded defender will be eager to forget his brief cameo at Old Trafford yesterday after failing to prevent the cross that led to Dimitar Berbatov’s winning goal just two minutes after he had replaced Paul Konchesky at left-back.

Agger, who was also left out of the starting line-up against Birmingham City last weekend, has lifted the lid on his frustrations behind Hodgson’s approach to games and has refused to alter his natural game despite fears that it could see him overlooked for a regular place in the side.

"The manager's philosophy is that we play football in attack, but not at the back. That's not my style," he told Sporten.dk

“I'm not that type of player. I like to keep the ball on the ground, and that's what I'll keep doing. Time will show if he [Hodgson] doesn't want to play me because of that".

"I'll try to change myself, but I will never be a player who offloads the ball at every opportunity."

"I'll fight for my chance. I know what I stand for, and I think he [Hodgson] does too".

better concentrate on next game.

wish we could see Soto and Agger together. they're the best CB pairing on our team. Carra is slowly losing it and Skrtel still gives me hibbly jibblies at times. hopefully we can also see Babel and Pacheco in action. Babel has been severely under-used this season.

i don't want to be negative-la. but i don't know how we got Roy as our manager when guys like Pellegrini and Rjjkard were available.

don't take me wrong. Roy will have my support as long as he's at Anfield, but clearly he's walked into graveyard. he's very inept tactically and just not good enough for a big club.

he should lift himself to liverpool's calibre, not the otherway around. he's dragging us to mid-table team level, which is unacceptable.

the fixture list hasn't been kind. let us see what he can do in next five-ten matches.

went through some headlines on some British papers.. lol. they're actually blaming Rafa and sympathising Roy for cleaning up the 'mess that Rafa left'.

impossible this club's supporters don't know liverpool not in CL rolleyes.gif

sigh.. haha. got fooled.

anyway, did anyone listen to Roy's post match comment?? oh my.. <pardon my language> that was nothing sort of a disgrace.

a good manager will always try to defend his players no matter how poor they play. roy is seemingly trying to maintain his jackie chan mr.nice guy image.

O Neill.. hmm

he abandoned a very good side at a worst time possible not too long ago. i know he has won some medals at scottish league, but hey almost everyone know spl is nothing but a two club league.

and his teams are a bit boring to watch.

but at the moment he's an upgrade to roy.

still hoping to see Rafa back one day. tongue.gif i miss him.

guys.

<daily roy rant>

did anyone listen to Roy's comments on (our) protest. he's very negative about it. i cannot put into words because i'm seething at the moment (he also criticized our great dan Agger). of course we're far from UK, but even we can feel the hard times we've gone thorugh under the yanks and our manager, let me repeat.. the MANAGER OF LIVERPOOL FC telling the us / fans to ignore the protest..

Pleasela.. what is going on.. i'm losing hope / respect on Roy almost on daily basis.
