QUOTE(Mysterious Dr X @ Sep 15 2010, 08:27 PM) If Everton and Fulham and hell, even Rangers drew, no reason why we can't go for the win. Unless you're suggesting we're worse than aforementioned squads. ManU wont look down against Liv as dey did against Ranger.. tis is the main prob y other team can while we cant... tats y burnley can beat Manu while we cant

Old Trafford is like a fortress... We can only beat them convincingly when we're on highs... The problem is, we're on lows, so i'd rather pray that they won't thrash us...

right! it's not about how good the opponent is but how well we perform..as I said earlier, our form have been consistently poor so far... we've been relying too much on individual brilliance instead of playing like a team.

just watch Madrid game.. Alonso is the real master.. he can reach any corner of the field without even making a lot of running.. brilliance passes combine with great vision.. something that we've been lacking lately.

Look at all my stars!!

It's often been said that players who aren't blessed with blistering pace need to make the ball do the running for them and Alonso epitomizes this. Not since Jan Molby have we had a player with such vision and accuracy.

[size]Dalglish: Disappointed at job snub[/b] » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Liverpool icon Kenny Dalglish has admitted he wanted to replace Rafa Benitez at Anfield before the appointment of Roy Hodgson.
Dalglish was player-manager at Anfield between 1985 and 1991 and he was the last man to bring the championship to the club.
The 59-year-old felt the time was right for Benitez to leave and he revealed he put himself forward to replace the Spaniard at the helm.
However, Liverpool rejected Dalglish's overtures and moved instead for former Fulham chief Hodgson to take charge at Anfield and the Scot admits he was disappointed to be overlooked for the job.
Dalglish writing in his new book - 'Dalglish in his own words' - said: "It was right for everybody that Rafa Benitez left - for him and for Liverpool Football Club.
"There just comes a stage in every manager's career when the board says, 'You've been good for the club but we feel it would be best if you go'.
"Sometimes it works the same way for a manager - 'I've done my time. There's no animosity but it's time to have a go somewhere else'.
"When it was clear Rafa was going, Christian Purslow asked me to get involved in the selection process for the next manager.
"I had to let them (the board) know my real views. I wanted the job. I couldn't miss the opportunity.
"One day, I was in a meeting with Christian and the chairman, Martin Broughton, and I formally put my name forward.
"'We don't want you, Kenny', came the reply from Christian and the chairman. Fine. That's their Âprerogative. They explained they had different plans for me, a position with greater longevity." What if daglish sign for liverpool job before RH?? what will happen?? This post has been edited by CrossFirE: Sep 16 2010, 11:41 AM

Hello Everyone, Im Normeck Azzuri, your tactical manager, im here to set up a game we play against Stew ..ops..Steau, dont mind the Azzuri, i like it because its catchy for me and im not an Italy fans...forgive my english cause im from Spain and we speak spanish there...
this is the 1st 11 that will play on Friday morning
------------------Jones------ ---Johnson--Soto-Agger-Kolchensky ---------Mereiles---- ------------------------Gerrard--------- --Maxi----------Cole-----------Jova--- ----------------Torres----
ok, here is the instruction
Mereiles!, your job is to intercept/block or whatever it is, from Steau Midfield to striker, your area will be in the center, just a little bit down if opponent has the ball. well your area will be in the center.
Gerrard!, your job is to make a good pass, you got 4 choice...Maxi, Cole Jova and Torres...we will start the attack from you...others, when he got the ball, please run forward...
Maxi and Jova! please do some good crosses, and try to move into penalty box if got chance, when both of you do that, Johnson and Kolchensky please move forward till center, cause both of you must back up this 2 wingers if Steau do counter attack
Cole please help Torres assist in attacking...do some long shot if got chance...
andl, i dont want Torres go back and try to help defending, just stay at the centre...remember!
well thats it i think, just want add one or two things..
please score as much as you all can, cause i want to rest some of the player for ManU match.
ok good luck!

deary me it's just so awful to watch us this season so far. even last season, where we were pretty much ridiculous the whole season, we did play some good football at Anfield. nowadays tour football bores me to death.
i'm not against Roy. but he has been terribly boring so far. isn't he supposed to start a new 'fresh' era for us. i still see Lucas there, i still see 2 holding players, i still see the club's best centreback at leftback. i still see Babel on bench, we're still poor on away games.
His treatment of Aquilani, pretty much the only midfielder with any sort of creativity angers me. Ok maybe he's fragile but he's a real talent. people who have watched his performance during april last season would probably agree with me. Joe Cole.. well.. he's just as prone to injuries as Aqua. From what i heard Roy promised to play Cole on hole.. so basically he doesn't play the club's best player in best position which earned him two player of the year awards.
Roy has also given some bizarre interviews like "we won't win the title "(although many liverpool fans would agree with this, but the manager is the last person i'd expect to speak like this). not too disappointed with the draw at Birmingham.. let me repeat. freakin Birmingham. talking about motivating players for the next match (well... against man utd)
Sorry for my rant and i know it's still very early to judge Roy. but so far he's been hugely underwhelming. we really should have gone for Manuel Pellegrini who was available and atleast plays good football (compare real last season and mourinho's real this season)... oh well.
Good Luck Roy.

Realistically there's only so much Roy can do and the players we can afford with the budget available. Maybe things may clear up once RBS forces the club sale end of the month.

Glad to be Here

I felt RH still doesn't have confident on the team. He opt for safe play with less attack and focus on defence. But, this is the best he can do at the moment. I see he is trying to understand the players conditions and who is good at which position and what formation is ok for the players. Until he find the momentum, then he will rock his own music. I will give him before the december break to see how well will he perform.
