What was the last thing you did before you got into this mess? Often, run back thru the audit trail will reveal the cause. I do not think your mobo is the problem. Have you tried reinstalling Windows? QUOTE([W]ee[D] @ Apr 29 2006, 04:33 PM) Nope i didnt Oced at all, just change the bios to ver20. |

Fatality AN8 SLi.........using it b4....performance as good...but for RAM setting no much as DFI Lanparty....4 new OCer is good choise...
easly OC....

Another question, my rig always, and i ment always stop on screen after booting where the system is checking up ur RAM, Ide and stuff after i pull out some hardware to clean it, and the thing never dissaphire after i press "F1", a friend of mine said that maybe the battery on the mobo is not working or its the south bridge thats making errors  not very sure of whats the problem, so i ask for help to you guys that has more experience in this particular Mobo. |

Here's what I think: I think nothing's wrong with your mobo. For this problem, sometimes it happens not only to your Abit board, but to my Asus as well. Sometimes, the bios just detects a "new" hardware if you took it out and plugged it in again. Yes, pressing F1 would get the device "registered" in the BIOS and you'd never see the problem until you take them out again. It's a minor thing for me. As for your OS issue, I think the possibility of your OS corrupted is much higher than mobo failure. Try reinstalling first. 6.85 is the latest... so far not getting any of these issues but then again, I'm on an Asus board already.
So it'll be good to try out the latest chipset driver 6.85.

The second thought of my Fatal1ty, I managed to push up to 320 FSB, but, it will be a blue screen after that.... running at 1.725Vcore and 2.8 Vdimm for my bloody Winchester..

My Fatal1ty SLi temp is quite fishy.
although I just clean the dust inside the fan at the 1st PCIex slot, the temp will go up to 53c. (SYS). Some time the PWM will goes to 40c something.
How about you guys? Hows the temperature?

ermm..i'm not using the fatal1ty board but i'm sure use the AN8-Ultra... it's seem very stable and efficient..  and for what most...it's very value for money compare to those boards...  no offence ok..i'm using it and i'm satisfied with it.. that's all...  by using only Corsair value ram i could boost up until 235Mhz stable... that's is equivalent to 470Mhz..  remember no additional heatsink.. if u are love this board....just go for it... GO ABIT....!!!! |
