mike, i'd read the reviews at dyxum. then decide from there. no point asking here for these rare lenses, its pretty rare to have someone being able to compare all 3 lenses for you as i believe none of us here have all 3 lenses.

you have already bought the camera, so, there's no point of you asking the "is it better than canon or nikon" question... as what most of us here would tell you, its the photographer that makes or breaks the photo, not the camera.

comparisons aside, the A500 is a very capable camera. 1st thing you need to do now is to go take a quick glance on the manual that came with the camera, learn about its functions and then go right out and have fun with the camera. shoot with it, use the functions... google terms you do not understand. and finally post up the photos here if u feel like it, we'll point out some tips for you to improve should you need, or get recognition if your work is good.

#7 looks weird with those lines...

#8 some noise is ok, too much will overpower the image. and you can actually selectively blend the noise in different toned areas... eg. darker areas have more noise than lighter parts.

both pics can be very much improved on.

subtlety can be a good friend.

more ppl take up, then according to the theory of numbers, more ppl will sell off their gears due to 'bored with camera', dunno how to use, under utilized.. then meaning will have more cheap 2nd hand gears around in the market... ie. 135 f/1.8, 85 f/1.4... lalalalalala...
