QUOTE(albnok @ Aug 28 2010, 06:43 PM) clivengu great stuff! Don't keep your clients waiting too long though! albert, no no, i was refering to the video comparison... 550D using CDAF while A55 using the PDAF.. so, its quite unfair knowing that CDAF is inferior to PDAF but they still made the comparison that way.lwliam: The exposure shift is Canon's problem, not CDAF - I experienced such laughable auto-exposure with a 24mm F1.4L II and 5D MkII. I like how the right half of #2 has a lot while the left half does not. Though the color could be done such that the left is vibrant green while the right is concrete and cold. jianh: The NEX-5 doesn't do AF with A-mount lenses (yet), doesn't support an external bounce flash (yet) and will not be able to use the faster phase-detect AF (though the NEX lenses do focus at decent speeds.) You might as well wait for the A55 which does all the above. addon: hahha, i know why u read my sentence that way d, i combined 2 points into 1 sentence sentence in BOLD FTW~!!!!!!! mike, when shooting quick moving events like this, there's nearly no time for you to make sure there are no distractions in the view. you can only do your best to catch a proper angle and try to remove as many distractions as possible. most importantly is that the subject matter is always in focus and the image conveys the message. if you wait for that man to move away from view, the moment is long gone.

QUOTE(yuhi @ Aug 29 2010, 05:23 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « fansoption I like #7, 9 and 10 p.s. Question, I just bought a f42am flash. Is Cap ayam diffuser good enough for bounce flash??? Any other types of diffuser you guys recommend? I'm too lazy to DIY main purpose of a diffuser, as its name states, is to diffuse light. as long as your diffuser fits onto your flash head, then any type of diffuser is good, difference is thickness and material of the plastic. |

the WB on the 5dmkII looks quite cold, skin looks rather pale. the NEX gives a warmer, more natural skin tone the Pana on the other hand gives a stronger tint of yellow at the highlights and green in the shadows, giving a unhealthy skin glow IMO. |
