The NEX has an exposed sensor, which is prone to dust and fungus collection. Prolonged idling, even for point and shoots are not recommended as well. If you have a drybox, just chuck it in, wont take up much space anyway.

this is what a rm339 8.1mp cam can do when it is used by a pair of skilled hand.. tongue.gif

shootkk is right. All u guys looking for are cheap cheap cheap. Shops need to survive too. And you've got yourself to blame for not knowing what you are paying for. If someone sold u a 4Gb thumbdrive for RM200 saying its good, made of high quality plastic casing, and made in japan, would you buy it? Same argument holds here. You wouldnt get it coz you know a 4Gb would cost u RM40 at most. Why not in the case of filters and cameras?

lwliam & banzai-san: well, i think, we should learn the next level, which is called, Anticipation... i chase kids around to shoot(client children), never i use 5fps, waste of shuttle and u loose concentration.. i sure try to get 1 shot 1 kill... anticipation is a good skill to have if u can horn it. smile.gif (and yea, there are time u wan use FPS to make a motion photo collage, which is very nice too)

addition infomation: A550. normal single shot VS 3/5fps and 7fps piority.
for many who might never notice, when using A550 model, try use normal single shoot if possible. at 3/5 and 7 piority, noise reduction is disable (although some might start to argue the CMOS has built in NR, yes, but  i mean post-process jpeg NR). meaning u'll get raw noise on jpg. when u use single shot, u will notice drastic noise reduction (and better sharpness) even at iso3200 is noise level is like iso1600(no NR in 3/5/7 fps), and if u activate high NR, the photo turn even more crisp.
*
hahhaa, no la, just giving an example..
i seldom use my full 5 fps as well except when i was panning at sepang and doing group shots (to avoid the 'blinkers' - even so, its probably only taken in 3 shots) and yes, i agree on the anticipation as i do it most of the time waiting for 'the moment'. friends have asked me why is the camera stuck to my face for so long looking into a scene and yet have not pressed the shutter, i just say "wait for it, wait for it". its when AFTER i pressed the shutter and i've showed them the result they understand why.

very often i see others just keep shooting like machine gun..wasting time on reviewing n deleting the unwanted shots..and usually when they r busy doing those stuff..they could have missed some precious moment..

for your question on flickr...i use 1 F58 on the toy..and 2 x cheapo yongnuo manual flash + 1 table lamp on the background.. as for the color..i tried to put some semi transparent colored glass/paper infront of the flashes..lol..too poor to buy color gel =.=
*
wahh, how many flashes you have now? so far i can count 4... hahahha.. i said that coz the whites on the robes looks like black light to me.

since you shoot indoors and static, having proper gels or not is no biggie. anything can be used as a diffuser/gel/flag/barndoor when things are static.

Oh dude, noticed your profile lol.. I am actually from KK as well... The seller said it takes 1 week for the rear lens cap to arrive, but I am already going back KK this weekend.... So he said he can courier to my KK address... I hope he really does it la... The temporary 'cap' he gave me doesn't fit the lens at all... Now I am in such a dilemma on how to bring my camera out for usage..... Can only bring out 1 lens while have to pack the other one nicely in the box...

Anyways, got a Tripod today for rm50.. I hope I didn't get conned this time.... I wanted to get a cheap one but sturdy enough for NEX-3 with 1855... The one i bought looks good enough to do the job also, the guy demonstrated it with a NEX-3...
*
is the tripod those light weight aluminium with 3 extendable leg sections? it will work well with your NEX, but 50 bucks is not to say standard price either. oh well, what's done is done... go out and shoot more ya smile.gif
