QUOTE(porkchop @ Sep 11 2010, 06:14 PM) wow many discussions on lenses....i wanna ask something then , is it ok to trade up 16-105 for the below lens?? not sure if its wise move on a crop sensor thogh Tamron - SP AF 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 Di-II LD Aspherical IF (UWA) + Carl Zeiss - Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70 F2.8 ZA SSM (Or this should just stick to the cheaper alternative the Sigma/Tamron) Tammy 10-24 + CZ 24-70 of course offers a lot more in terms of IQ, but they will be quite a handful to carry around (especially the CZ). I'm assuming you are still in APS-C world, so the 24-70 may seems a little bit limiting to your camera body. Of course, if you have plans for FF in the future, then buying the CZ2470 now makes good sense. There is no fault in your lens choice. As long as you can afford it, no one will stop you. Hahaha....

QUOTE(Deerc @ Sep 11 2010, 04:11 PM) Nice userbar you got there. got do black ? hehe. since I am damn free and bored and it takes only a couple of minutes once I get a good jpeg file, here you go. QUOTE(Windy87 @ Sep 11 2010, 01:50 PM) ieR: i read a lot of review that says tammy 17-50mm have slow AF. is that true? eugenechiuu: true, my batt cant even last 900 shots in my 4gb. better buy 1 few CF card so that if got error u dont waste all ur pictures. slow? no such thing. the speed is dependent on ur alpha body motor, how can it be slow when u put other lens? *most review are reviewed on CANON and NIKON version of TAMRON 17-50 with built in SLOW MOTOR. hence the review write like that. SONY version is base on Body Motor. its faster i think the correct word to uses is longer, longer focus only apply for tele zoom lens, like 55-200 and 75-300 where it has longer focus gear.

SPAM! Shot during our family trip up to Kundasang. For those in Sabah or had been to Sabah, Kundasang is within the vicinity of Mt. Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia. Weather in Kundasang is refreshingly cool. Very similar in climate to Genting, but not as commercialized. This was me showing my blackened hands, from preparing the fire pit for the BBQ dinner. Shot was taken by my wife using my camera. A850 + SAL2470Z. 1/60s, f4.0, ISO200, 45mm, flash fired (bounced using the built-in bounce card of the HVL-F58AM).

Gen-X: Uhhh... compressed aspect ratios don't do it justice. gjtan: Nice butterfly-on-landing-strip! I wonder if you got another shot of it from straight on... porkchop: Sounds like an ultra-wide might do you good, and the 28mm for everyday and miscellaneous shots. Deerc: According to http://www.nissindigital.com/en/Di622.html: QUOTE The sensor circuitry of Di622 is compatible only with the latest pre-flash TTL system offered by Canon or Nikon You have to try it to see if it works or not. For #1 if you could frame it such that it looks like you were looking up at it, like a real statue on a hill, it would add to the realism of the shot. Likewise for #2 - go from the angle where someone would climb the hill to find this sifu! kysham: Wow, popping! (In a weird way, your hands look juicy...)
