Panning needs to use slower shutter speed. One of the trick is to use a smaller aperture to lower down the shutter speed. wink.gif

8tvt, understand why we use aperture, shutter speed and ISO to control light.. understand what will happen when you change either of the settings. what happens to the final image when u open up/close down the aperture, what happens when you increase/decrease ISO... these are the basics, the foundation...

even when dropping from iso200 to iso100, you only lose 1 stop of light, something which you can handle much easier with changing of aperture/shutter speed. and as for me, i leave ISO as a last resort, if both shutter and aperture cant be tuned anymore only i change the ISO

in that case an RM800 point and shoot camera has more functions than D3... it can shoot macro at 1cm close.. shoot movies... panorama shots.. geotagging... and i can go on and on... does it make the PnS a pro camera?

hi guys. i am really interested in this A55. was it has better IQ, colour, dr than nex 5? dont really care about the size. i think a55 is good enough.

any other sony model (similar price range with a55) recommendation is also welcomed

fyrogenesis, if you dont mind the size, then the A55 would be good for you. there's little to complain about the a55.

Wow.... A55 is only cost RM2799 with kit lens....... With this kind of new technology, I'm so gonna get this DSLR for good.. Forget about A580.... Time to get this in my cart.  brows.gif

But with this kind of price made me wonder..... is this DSLR a beginner or Intermediate DSLR? The price does look like beginner DSLR price... hmm.gif
*
well, to answer it... sony cooperation is really HUGE... they have the power to mass product and reduce the cost drastically. hence they able to offer cheaper camera to user... in the old days, sony compact are consider the few most expensive top range compact, today, its the cheapers compact, same as cheapest DSLRs.... that the power of economy of scale (hugeee scale)

categorizing a camera level, and buying it doesnt makes u a noob or pro.... experienced user like me buys a A330, does that make me a entry user? tongue.gif (joking around) or a new comer brought a PRO A900 doesnt made him a pro either.

but i hope dont catagorize them anymore, even nikon D3100 is so confusing, the spec is consider much improve over D90, but as an entry??? today tech had many jump already, making it hard to catagorize which is which....

just put it in a way, today u buy this, this price, determine how well the camera perform. that all.
