FF14 is out of topic, isnt there an existing thread on that?

I wonder if the address made me stuck to register CC.

Sometimes I like to visit FFXI just for nostalgia in Lakshmi Server. When open Playonline I need to update my CC. I use my Maybank Visa with Verified by Visa. No problem when the playonline open a web page and key in my password at the Verified by Visa page. But after I go back to playonline and try to continue register, seem the card got rejected. My Playonline is US version and the address in in US. Cannot change to Malaysia >.<

I just resubbed on my Playonline US version using my CIMB CC which obviously use my Malaysian address. Are you sure you are doing it the right way? You cannot change the address on the main part only the CC part. Like mine, the acc address is in the states (totally made up too) but my Credit Card address like I said earlier is in Malaysia.

Just started playing again after a year and a half hiatus (just had a baby girl, now she can walk and find her own food so I can get back to my gaming way of life ) and heard that they are increasing the level cap on the next update. I think I will finally quit for good if they do that and just play FFIII while waiting for FFIX to go gold.

i tried using rhb bank mastercard and it just gives me error, anyone else using rhb?

used to work fine till i cancel my visa and tried to change to mastercard....

Anyone still playing this game? Can someone convince me what's unique about this game compared to other online games. The battle seems slow and dull And I heard you need to be in a party to level up better which is a killer because it'll take ages to find one?

i was playin still theres been a lot of changes u can pretty solo all the way to 75 with the new system they added.

battle system slow and dull not sure wut u mean by that its a lot like wow, and i heard they are adding level cap to 99 and other cool stuff to it soon.

but yea i cant play atm since it wont take my new cc....

also it has some of the best storyline, thats y i find aion strange and boring since all u do is kill mobs do some quest and lvl50 end game.... there is 0 storyline.

Hm.. Is the community there lively? Aside from the storyline, how is the gameplay?

try watching some videos on youtube to c if it suit ur taste gameplay its pretty much based more technical rather than the simple aion, each job setup with particular gears depending on situation and mob etc etc.

can be lots of gear swappings.

something that aion lacks but also personal preference, some ppl just cant get used to it.

lively depends not as much ppl nowdays as it was once, but i didnt find aion lively as well.

What server is Malaysian players active in?

This game too hardcore lolz.. And worst of all too much racist.
Those who speak eng onry will have problem gettting into jp pts. Most of our available time are usually during JP time and US time is like during after midnite.
I able to get thru a couple of 75 by almost 24hrs on this game. I had to type a few jp words juz to get into jp team. Some jobs are hard to get to 75 due to the amt of gil req. Example like Ninja.
Although they mention solo to 75 is possible but it available to certain jobs only. And it's gonna take a long long way to reach that level.
The economy wise is almost like real life. Competition too heavy and China RMTs playin around with the Bazaars with their mules. Players even took in to challenge those price by overslashing the price.
HMN hunting rules with ls had been very fixed and dead. There are already so little HNM spawns and yet their respawn time is crazy. Some took a week to spawn while some took 8-24hrs respawn time for one. More then 3-4 LS campin on these nms/hnms with over 30-40 peeps in each guild. Some of them use bot to claim.
The rest will up to yer imagination whether is it truly possible to survive in ffxi if u are that kind of regular gamer who only had 4-6hrs gametime if u had work/school to cope with. I'm done with this game though, currently putting my hopes on ff14.

I played it before too and unless you are haijin(very hardcore gamer),i suggest you wait for ff14.

Well it depends on what you want int the game =) it isn't that hard to play at all.... basically this game is fun! although some of you said it does seem a bit time consuming but it is fun...personally i love the story line !
and have been playing around one year still in love with it ^^

Hi, just wonder if anyone pay ffxi monthly fee by debit card?

I used Public bank visa electron debit card to pay ffxi for past 6 years, until end of last year SE have changed their policy that only 3-D secure (or verified by visa) card can be used. I canceled my ID for one month on early this year, when i want reactive my ID the card cant be accepted anymore even if i have registered vbv in public bank website. I also tried public bank day2day visa debit card still no luck.

Maybank cherry visa debit card can be accepted but after i type my personal password in SE visa verifying screen it said card authentication error, don't know that is because last name and first name not fit properly( chinese name have three words) or other reason.

So anyone know which visa/mastercard debit card in malaysia can be used to pay FFXI monthly fee? thanks

SYLPH have a lot of taiwanese who using chinese and japanese in game, a lot of them speak fluent japanese. When ps2 jp ffxi just released they encourage people who speaking chinese inlcuded HK to gather in the same server to help each other. Their earliest LS called mana, but lately a lot of drama happened though .. i guess drama is happened in every language community.

I was once want to get in SYLPH server very much because our play time and culture is more close to taiwanese.
