hey  guys, just got a desire from Maxis 2 days back.

now trying to set app install location to SD card as phone is running out of space.

I've read on some website where we can do it at the ADB by typing

adb shell pm setInstall Location 2

Tried but keep getting error.

can someone tell me what went wrong ?

Do i have to Root it before doing this ?

Hope someone could provide some assistance.

go to Setting -> About phone , then check firmware version, if it now 2.2 then your not on Froyo.

mine is this when i check firmware is 2.1 -update1 but when i try to update it says that no new update for my phone...so what should i do to update to Froyo...???

wierd, european set has already obtained the update, same goes to maxis APAC/SEA set too.. both got froyo already.. urs is AP set? SLCD or Amoled?

Guys I wanna ask, if I choose to root my desire for the ap2sd feature, is it possible to have the same interface(stock 2.2) that I'm currently having? means I only want ap2sd feature and not to keep on flashing my phone. Any input will be appreciated
