QUOTE(davidmak @ Aug 23 2010, 12:05 PM) Have you updated all your applications from Market? Check if you are using the latest version of Facebook for Android app. Recently there was a lot of updates going on and one of them screwed the battery life of my Android phone. A lot of people complained similar issues too. Then another update came and everything went back to where it is supposed to be. There was one version of facebook that was extremely battery hungry but the update patch was released the next day to solve the problem. If this ain't got anything to do with apps (meaning you got them all updated), then probably the battery is still new. Exercise it for a few rounds and if its not getting better, approach SIS for warranty support. QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 23 2010, 12:45 PM) modaco r8. Fennec was actually around for quite some time on Android where some people obtained an Alpha version of it. Still, extremely buggy and require alot of space. The version i tried previously require about > 10MB of space. I rather wait for it to release officially. Worse thing, i tried accessing GSC website with it and it still says only support Mozilla, IE, and Chrome Will be trying out OpenDesire tomorrow Fennec a.k.a Firefox Mobile for android in on Pre-Alpha. http://www.droid-sync.com/2010/08/22/use-f...-alpha-release/ |

Any idea whether there is any effect if we flash to the latest radio on any of the custom ROM? Most of the rom out there still state in their thread that it requires the .20 radio. Where to get the .30 version?

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 26 2010, 09:17 AM) QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 26 2010, 09:24 AM) IIRC. You can't because that's people apps from HTC Sense. Thank you so much. So, would any ROM be working with this latest stock radio without any problem? Flashing to R8 in a while and was hoping to use the latest ROM. However, R8 just state must use .20 ROM instead of the latest .30.OD using Vanilla UI, so don't have fb contact photo Search for adamg thread. |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 26 2010, 10:27 AM) LOL...Yours online kitchen baked version. Different case. Weird thing is, you cant see any difference between that R8 stock version with the FroYo Modaco Stock that was first released when OTA Europe was here. However, the space difference is like 53MB compared with 135MB. Wonder where the other 100MB went to |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 26 2010, 10:32 AM) r8 is based on the stock FroYo. I guess not much different for pre-baked as it only include those basic stuff IIRC. Well, on first boot, you cant even find any difference between the first FroYo released by Modaco. The version that is purely stock with added root version. But that version, it gaves me around 135MB+ which is good, even without App2SD+. I thought this would be the same with some small improvement but apparently, there seems to be alot of background changes cause it looses about 100MB in phone memory I cant cope with 50MB, so, had to download the APP2SD+ version and see whether its better or not This post has been edited by akachester: Aug 26 2010, 10:36 AM |

Even weirder.
r8 without default MoDaCo additions - About 50+MB on first boot. r8 ROM with default MoDaCo additions and A2SD+ - About 65MB+ on first boot, even without setting up EXT yet. Hmm.... |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 26 2010, 11:00 AM) Install market enabler. I did get about 132MB+ after setting up EXT partition. Weird thing is this version came with so much more apps by default but still, even without partition, the free space is better than the stock version.Open apps. Save current settings. Choose the mobile you would like to fake. Hold it and fake it. You're good to go After that, restore settings Added on August 26, 2010, 11:01 am You will see more once you set up |

Well, i had the same problem earlier. I flashed to Modaco R8, and then did a factory reset. After reboot, all the extra apps that came with R8 are gone. Had to reflash again after that.

QUOTE(law_yew_wooi @ Aug 26 2010, 03:39 PM) You need to use the HTC Sync in order to install the HTC Drivers. After you install the HTC Sync, you can straight away uninstall it. However, do not remove the HTC Drivers after install. |
