QUOTE(kokifung @ Sep 7 2010, 10:54 PM) Well, there is Unrevoked2 that is said to be compatible with 2.2 as well at the moment Btw, anyone here on Papago? Do you get a weird sound when using it on navigation mode? This post has been edited by akachester: Sep 8 2010, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Sep 8 2010, 02:21 PM) anyone tried calibrate their battery? there is a thread at XDA quoted some steps by HTC to calibrate your battery. Did this previously on my Desire but does not show any effects on mine. Or at least, its still draining really fast I summarise it as follows: 1. Connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on. Charge until the LED become GREEN. 2. Disconnect the phone from charger and powered it off. 3. Reconnect the phone to the charger again while it is still power OFF. Charge until the LED become GREEN. 4. Disconnect the phone from charger and powered it on. 5. Once the phone power on completely, power it off. 6. Reconnect the phone to the charger again while it is still power OFF. Charge until the LED become GREEN. 7. Disconnect the phone from charger. 8. Power into recovery and wipe battery status (Amon_RA can do this, others I not sure) 9. Power on the phone and use it. Step 8 is optional and not mentioned by HTC tech support but some XDA member recommended it. I did it once yesterday night, LED in step 3 is almost immediately become green but surprisingly, in step 6, it took quite a while to charge to green with wall charger (about 15-20 min). I dun know what to expect, but my Desire is at 90% now from full at midnight. Wi-fi on in office since 9am this morning till now. No calls/sms at all (why I haven't switch to Digi Smartplan Maybe Mike can put this at the FAQ at second post. EDIT: My Desire is now with AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and latest radio. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Sep 9 2010, 09:46 AM) cannot take yours as example - you are power user. Well, i aint exactly a power user but to be honest, i couldn't see a significant improvement in doing that. Might be a tad better but not like those that commented in XDA saying another half day / 1 day improvement in battery life. At least, not on mine.my Desire is still at 59% from 12:30am yesterday morning (not this morning), more than 32 hours already, with some wi-fi checking email, 20mins of papago, some short calls/sms. I think the undervolting is really working. |
