a simple digital voltmeter is being sold in the tradezone for rm55.. i think its a bargain and a must install for car owners who dont like getting the suprise of a dead battery on a morning startup..

my battery on the neo went dead 2 months ago.. i bought the car 2nd hand so i didnt know how long the battery was used but it looks clean n pristine so i was supprised it went dead on me, so i'm installing a volt meter soon to see if the volt readings during driving could help me detect if my alternator is not performing.. maybe any sifus here could share how to monitor our car's battery/alternator health?

yup.. i was planning originally to get those digital voltmeter.. but i was put off by the hassel to cut wire etc... even their plug in version for ciggy lighter there also seems like a messy setup...

then yesterday i walked into ACE hardware n saw a ciggy lighter version but wit LED indicator. I saw the price ok oso.. so i got it to test it out..

If I'm not mistaken, Elton's Voltage Stabaliser also can do the same task, in fact, can do more than that.

or maybe its as simply as your battery can no longer hold charge.
You should try recharging/reconditioning the battery.

do you have a pic of the LED tester?

5-6 months go for a round of recharging / desulfating, that way the battery will lat much longer in future. charge every 3-6months once, you'll double the life of the battery
