A slight review after using larger rim and hankook v12 for 2 days~

(I'm comparing with my old 195/60/r15 tyre)

Con:

- Acceleration hurt very badly due to the 17"
- Expecting my consumption to suffer as well as i need to press more now to accelerate
- I not sure if this is a con. But the new rim change my car cornering characteristic. I feel it understeer more now. Either cause by the increase cornering speed or i need some arb or front strut to cancel this understeer out.
- Rolling noise increase due to 215

Pro:

- The 45 profile sidewall is really good comparing to my 60 profile. I can push more now before feeling the sidewall gave in.
- Surprisingly the 45 profile is not as uncomfortable as what people say. In fact i can say its even more comfortable now then with the 60 profile tyre
- Cornering now is much more stable. 215 plus a small sidewall really improved cornering dramatically.
- I feel my suspension works better with 17" wheel. Or maybe cause of the smaller sidewall
- Braking is very good on this v12 tyre. So far I havent lock my tyre yet even though I have to work the brakes harder now. But this is probably due to the 17" rim larger rotational mass.

All in all for me the real con is just one which is suffered acc. Others is all positive. But I need to adjust my rear height.. Its too damn low now. 1 finger nia.. i might wan it to be at least 2 or 2 1/2 finger... Anyone know where i can get this done?

Piping is using the rubber host where u can pick and match in halfcut shop. The one that i listed in the forum is a full complete kit.
If you interested, u can shop together with Alif and Kampoon. It is a simple add on if you know. The tuning part can use SAFC and tune by using Wideband. This mod is for ppl that understand how turbo works. There is also some layman asking me lotsa question about this chepsket BOT however i recommend them to drive NA better sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

A cheap BOT does not mean imperfect, it just require more skills and commitment to deal with it. Understanding turbo system is a must when you need to BOT. eg: some ppl says that i wan safe boost so put in Kancil Turbine or TD025 from Eterna but in fact it is wrong! Result you will kill the turbine faster due to our 4G18 exhaust flow exceed the Turbine CFM capacity. Some says put big big Turbine will give super power.... Yes it will but at the low RPM up to 5k RPM you will have nothing due to the power all lost just to spool the turbine up to the nominal rated flow before able to boost and when it boost, it get too wild due to air flow multiplied by turbo force induction... at last result.... Engine pecah...

Others than that AFR is also very important, not to mention over rich AFR will cause engine seize too. Too much fuel in the combustion chamber will create uneven combustion where sometime the combustion too powerful and sometimes too soft because the air is lesser than the fuel. Uneven combustion can create block crack and a lot of carbon deposits. Block crack due to high knocking of detonation in combustion chamber and develop carbon deposits due to incomplete combustion.

hope this answer everyone...

i would go for monroe in a heartbeat after testing apm, monroe, kayaba and sachs..
monroe improved handling slightly while still being comfortable and lasted almost 3 years for front and exactly 2 years for rear on my waja.. i highly recommend monroe.. thumbup.gif
