CF? The Camera Connection Kit doesn't accept CF cards. Otherwise, if you meant SD, the photos needed to be in the DCIM folder to be recognized and downloaded into the iPad.

iBookStore is not available in Malaysia, so you need to create an American iTunes account. Then top up your iTunes account with credit and shop away.

Personally, I prefer Amazon's Kindle Store with their bigger selections of eBooks, and there's a free Kindle app you can download from the AppStore to sync, download and read your purchased eBooks on your iPad.

The updated OS version is probably detecting the CF addon at the end of the Cam Kit and denies it. I don't have a CF-based camera so I don't ahve any more indepth answer than that.

This thread should help on how to top up credit into your amazon account to purchase Kindle eBooks. They have lately employed Geo IP filter, so you need a net anonymizer like Hotspotshield or VPN service to trick the Amazon website into thinking that you are accessing it from the States.

Once that is done, topup your Amazon credit by the method on that thread, purchase it there, and on the Kindle app on your iPad, synchronize your purchase. The newly purchased eBooks will be downloaded and appear into Kindle app library.

Bought at Harvey Norman in Queensbay mall. Not many people swarming to buy at Switch nor HN. Handful are at Harvey Norman. The sales persons manning at HN, are from apple distributors and can answer questions better than at Switch.

The iBooks app is available on iPad for Malaysia iTunes Store, but you only have the free "classics" books to download. A bit sad, actually, even the bl**dy book publishers want to have all this screwed up licensing issues for books. IT IS A BOOK. ALREADY NOBODY IS READING YOUR BOOK. THEY WANT TO BUY. WHY DON'T GIVE US A CHANCE TO BUY YOUR BOOK? shocking.gif

Anyways I have US iTunes Store account (from user skalominia on a LYN thread) brows.gif

...Haven't tried Kindle app, but have bought 1 or 2 basic books (like iPhone tips and tricks) from iBookStore. What's convenient for me is the one paid account, iTunes Store account, US one, that takes care of everything, music, movies, tv, apps, books.

Added on November 30, 2010, 10:28 pmGuys sorry I wasn't able to investigate today these iPads WHAT IS THE FIRMWARE ON IT? Your information would be most welcome.

Interestingly, the demo iPads on display have firmware "4.2" (not 4.2.1) ... Canggih ... Special build for demo iPads (well, as in one of the developer or dev gold master builds etc.

But from the iPads sold today, what is the version of the firmware on it?

Largan Precision will reportedly be the sore provider of camera lenses for the iPad 2, according to a DigiTimes report.

Largan Precision has declined to comment on market rumors indicating the company will be the sole lens module supplier for Apple's upcoming iPad 2 tablet with shipments to kick off in the first quarter of 2011, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).

The iPad 2 is widely expected to feature a front facing camera with some rumors even predicting a camera on the back as well.

http://www.iClarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=13015

It's coming. with these camera components to ship by Q1 2011, a.k.a January 2011, a.k.a when the announcement is going to be made. 3-4 months to ramp up production, and Q2 2011, a.k.a for the launch, a.k.a exactly one year after the first iPad was introduced.

From Machines, non-Apple iPad accessories qualify for 10% discount. To be sure, check with the outlet.

It's kind of a "Facebook" promo so if you have "Liked" them on http://www.facebook.com/machines.apple.reseller
you qualify for a discount.

Though in all honesty, just go to outlet discuss with them on the specifics. I'm not 100% sure about it.
