anybody facing problem in the market now? my internet connection is ok, but when i select "download" in my market, there is an pop up saying that an error with the server..

Hey guys, MAXIS is such a bloodsucker. i'm on the values 50 talk plan and the 1.5Gb data for rm 78 (rm68 after rm10) rebate. yday i checked thru *100# of my usage was rm 45.65. (my billing date is 20th every month ). this morning i woke up to find my line barred. apparently my usage is now RM154++ eventhough i did not exceed usage of data plan (3G watchdog shows my usage at 100mb only!!). maxis cust service says its due to "you dunno which telco you're calling to. tat's y u exceed". just wanna share a word of caution. beware of the big M company..

cannot try it yet..it's raining cats and dogs here..LOL

no understand , mind point out for me ?

there is no phone is perfect..if u think this phone done most of ur job then why not get it?
and i not sure what issue u worry of...maybe u can list it out?

Let me correct you.

Digi Smart Plan is RM68 per month, which covers unlimited internet access (up to 3GB high speed, speed reduced after u exceed the limit). So it doesn't matter if you have a BB or an Android phone, Digi Smart Plan charges are the same.

Calls, SMS and MMS are extra, pay per message or call items.

I was on a BB Curve 8900 with Digi Smart Plan, BIS was working fine. Phone died and now I am using an SGS, network data working fine too.




As hihihehe wrote, no phone is perfect. I can tell you what I don't like about my SGS - battery too small for the phone's awesome display and power (can just about last a whole day, based on my usage), slight heating up of the phone's backside when phone is busy on network or games, slight lagging once in a while when multitasking or launching new apps, no Froyo (yet).

Maxis always like that, switch to DiGi (you can MPN it). DiGi max for pay and used fora day is RM149. It wont excceed it this amount! Just sign up for DiGi Smart Plan DG30/DG50/DG150 + 3G Unlimited RM58 only..

M thinking of getting Galaxy S via Maxis package. Should I reconsider? It seems Maxis is not a good Telco. Any sifu here can advice. What about Digi? is it better in terms of service and coverage?

maxis coverage is sucks at my area.. with digi i can get full uninterrupted bars..

You should be careful when using 3G. Always turn it off when you're not using it. My last case was it reached RM270 without sending any notification message that I have pass the quota (500mb).

I'm very sure i did not exceed as i'm a light user (use for surf net and updates), i turn off auto sync for background apps, enable only 2G instead of 3G. That's y i am so upset that maxis still manage to find a way to overcharge me. my first month bill was normal. but this bill is such a shocker. Any sifu can advise? maxis customer service is soooo bad everybody telling different story.

I think you should bring this issue to the Consumer tribunal to discuss and see if they can help you out.

Since you're in a contract, you need to terminate it for Rm500. Then u can go to Digi

In this case I think I better not go with the Maxis package, better to get a Singapore set and go with Digi.

I solve my problem by getting a new case for Galaxy S and love it so much....it is from Samsung...heard it will be selling at Maxis Centre
